People (hmm...) will eventually complain!  So why not take the initiative, spent some extra time, and do it right the first time?

It all looks excellent.  Presumably there will be another sprue with pieces for the SdKfz 250/7 and /9 - which (with crew) would probably take up about the same amount of space.

Very few of the SDFZ 250/8 Alte were made the /8 was mainly a Neu variant.

From a Rubicon post on page 1 of this thread:

We know.  No matter it is a 250/8 Alte or Neu, the difference is the side armour plate design.  Will probably only do the Neu version anyway.

If you are talking about the SdKfz 250/8 leichter Schützenpanzerwagen (with a 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 gun and an MG 34), it is only available on the Neu version. 
There were a few prototypes being made on the Alte, but not in production volume. 
We will definitely do one if we are going to do a SdKfz 250/1 Neu later on!
