Looks really good. Nice work.
I have one of these sitting there on my workbench, but you have inspired me to finish it.
Will not look as nice as yours, but inspiration none the less.

Thanks!

Nice to know I have my uses  ;D

My Desk and draw is full of unfinished stuff from Volkssturm to pathfinders, fantasy models and scifi. I have made a consouse effort myself to try and finish all those unfinished jobs.

Cheers

Never mind the driver (who crawled through the underneath i imagine) Where did they keep the ammo...

The kit comes with a ammo box (containsing 3 rounds) and a single ammo cylinder. Didnt really know where to put them so and thouhgt they would looker better as part of a Pak40 AT gun base

Axis History Forum says it carried 22 rounds . Probably some ( 6 - 10 ) in the space beside the gun mount ( ready rack ) in front of the loader . Probably means no co driver or maybe even the seat was removed ? The rest mounted horizontally in bin under rear seat ?  In the short barreled 75mm version , rounds were stored vertically in the under seat bin , so it makes sense ( to me ) that the longer rounds would be stored there as well . Thoughts ???

I think the 251/9 is just one of those kits I've never done in any scale oddly. So im fairly unfamiliar with the layout. From a quick look is certainly had more room (not much but enough) and ammo boxes could be stored atleast. Would they have used the exact same ammo? I imagined it as more of an infantry support role than dealing with AT.

I know the 251/10 (with the Pak36) either had the seats modified to carry ammo horizontally weather or not the seat top came down to cover this so the men could sit down...i dont know. Id certainly concerned when ever I drove over a bump about sitting in that position.

I had a look for interior shot of the 251/22 and could only find these. Note the single ammo tubes piled over on the left side.

Looks like the co drivers seat was removed.

Ok , picture shows rear seat is not a stowage box like in the 251/9 . There goes  that dumb idea , lol .

So , probably something like this , with the side bin having staggered rows . IRC , the 234/4 had a set up like this as well , plus  odd shaped bins with staggered rows of ammo show up in many German vehicles with little internal space and a gun with large / long ammo
-  I found this internal drawing on the SdKfz 251 site . The site moderator has no clue who drew it so take it as a " maybe "

Yeah looks that way, then what ever else they could squeeze in on the left side. Makes you wonder how much that Pak43 tractor could even hold.
