Panzer 38(t) and Marder combos.
« on: August 22, 2018, 08:58:19 pm »
I'd love to see a Rubicon Panzer 38(t) with options to build the mid mount marder.
Plastic soldier company have managed to make a great little kit that produces 2 variants of marder and a turret tank.
And nobody produces the Marder III with the mid mounted gun like theirs does in 15mm.

I'm sure Rubicon can manage it in 28mm.

I agree, that would be nice to see, but to be honest I would like to see Rubicon work on something more common.

The 38(t) is fairly common, and the Marder would be easy bonus variant.

And while rare, the 222 turret is already moulded and the Aufklärungspanzer 38(t) is super cute and irresistable! =^,^=

I'd say the 38 is rather common and very iconic :p

Let me rephrase that. Something that is common and that is not available in a 1:56 scale plastic model kit.

You would think Warlord might have the other two  Marder III versions in line for release eventually , plus they also have a 38(t) already in plastic . Rubicon would just be playing catch up . IMO its better for Rubicon to release something the other guys heven't kitted out yet ( Jagdpanther , T-26 , BA-6 ) . While a Marder III by Rubicon would be way better by far than the Warlord kit , how many would they sell what with Warlord's being out for the good part of a year . If you wanted one , or  3 , you probably already got it . I think Rubicon should use their new version Panzer IV hull and give us a plastic Brumbar , Jadgpanzer IV , Stug IV , and a Whirbelwind /Ostwind kit . Not too many vehicles used the III hull in numbers besides the Stug III , which they have already released , but maybe Rubicon could tool up an early short barrel Stug III , or go crazy and release a Stuminfanteriegeschutz 33B or a Russian rearmed / rebuilt SU-76i

Tracks, ah, a useful clarification.  I haven't kept close tabs on Warlord's plastic kits.  Although I'm probably not the only one who would snap up an Aufklärungspanzer 38(t).

Hmmm, plastic Jagdpanzer IV!

One of these?
Aufklärungspanzer 38(t) 2cm KwK 38 - a new expansion project for one of our best kits!

The marriage of two existing kits:
(1) 280030 Jadgpanther 38(t)
(2) 280048 SdKfz 250/251 Expansion Kit - SdKfz 250/9 & 251/23
...with a new Bergepanzerwagen 38 chassis!

Enjoy!

Why yes, one of those.  Don't recall seeing it anywhere in the Production Schedule listing, hope it's one of the Un-announceds!

I like the Warlord 38t. But I'd rather buy Rubicon stuff myself. Better quality and wheel detail.

There are also designs and frames for the Wirbelwind shown in the Panzer IV main thread...

It is on the JPz 38(t) work in progress, see link.

Yes, just not mentioned yet in the Production Schedule thread where I try to keep track of what all is going on.  So I hope it is indeed in one of the levels of 'Unannounced Projects' that is moving forwards towards an actual release.  It's very squirrelly trying to find info around here since I don't constantly read the forums nor remember posts from prior years.

In any event, I will very happily buy one whenever it is available!
