Just received our first testshot for the Schwimmwagen, will do a sprue inspection and a test assembly report right away!

Schwimmwagen TS1 plastic assembled and primed. Minor features needed to be updated and fixed, but is quite satisfied with the results.

Excellent. Such a brilliant looking little vehicle. I had the Tamiya one about 40 years ago 

I’d love to add one to my DAK collection, but am hard pressed to imagine why you’d need an amphibious car in the desert...

The Schwimmwagon did serve in Africa. It's quite possible the quartermaster filled out the required paperwork (in triplicate) for more VWs to use for scouting purposes, and both Kubelwagons and Schwimmwagons arrived.

Are you saying they did, or they could have?  I've never seen any evidence of it.
