Info gleaned from Canadiansoldier.com under Vehicles ( markings general ) - 1st off the 2 letter combo  C ?  is used only on Canadian vehicles :  CA - Ambulance . CC - Motorbike . CF - Armored Car / Scout Car . CH - Artillery Tractors . CL - Lorry ( truck for all you Yanks  ) 30 cwt or larger . CM - Staff Car / Jeep . CS - Self Propelled Gun . CT - Universal Carrier / Tank . CX - Trailers . CZ - Lorry under 15 cwt . So most if not all the decals on the sheet are for Canadian vehicles  , but easy enough to cut off the 1st letter , and your good . I assume the NZ code would be for Kiwi vehicles , no idea what the Aussies had as a letter prefix or if they even were allowed to drive

Thanks, so Z prefix for basic British trucks.

Interesting images if you Google for them, a number with autocannon on the load bed (Breda and German).

In British service, the Z prefix was for lorries under 15cwt.  L was for lorries over 15cwt (so theoretically there shouldn't be any for this vehicle).  H was for wheeled artillery tractors (I don't think these vehicles were used as gun tractors).  So as Ripley said most of these war department numbers are for Canadian vehicles.  I have no idea if that was Rubicon's intention.

I wonder if  CMP trucks  were  given WD numbers in Canada , ( the number minus  the letter prefix would be assigned to vehicle for its lifespan )  so they would have Canadian lettering when shipped overseas . You would assume the end user  UK units would change the Letters  when received , but maybe they better things to do , like fight a war ?  I 've seen pictures of  some Canadian units with tanks that had just a T number , not CT , maybe replacements rushed into combat , we'll paint them later sort of thing ? It will easy to cut off the C to make them Brit trucks

Its a reconnaissance regiment [41] of the 2nd or 3rd Canadian Infantry Division  , so there should be a C ....right ? I love it when you find a chart that explains all the vehicle codes and stuff and  you figure you got it sorted , and then you find something like this

It seems I missed a few letters    the British War Department also had D ( Dragons artillery tow ) , E ( Engineer vehicles ) , P ( Amphibious  - Duwks & SEEPs ) , R (  the terrible idea Roto Trailer ) and V ( vans ) . E,P,& V added late war.

Here are the prefix codes for vehicle numbers, if canadian it was preceded with an extra C. As you can see P means amphibious.

A    Ambulance
C    Motorcycle
D    Dragons (tracked towing vehicles)
E    Engineer vehicles (bulldozers)
F    Armoured scout car or armoured car
H    Tractor (artillery tractor)
L    Lorry (30cwt or heavier)
M    Car (including Jeep)
P    Amphibious
R    Rota trailer
S    Self propelled artillery
T    Tracked vehicles (tank and universal carriers)
V    Van
X    Trailers
Z    Truck (15cwt and smaller), white scout car, halftrac

I did wonder if these were used by the LRDG, not definitive, but Wikipedia says that Ford 15cwt CAMP were used as command vehicles (Chevrolet 30cwt for line vehicles). Not sure on the cab type though.

I was just glancing through the Bolt Action LRDG list.

Back on the LRDG list, and with reference to the discussion on the German flak quad cannon on the Opel, could you mount the PAK 36 on the load bed as an LRDG AT truck?

I know that they used 30cwt Chevys but no one does them in plastic (hint hint).
