Relating to Ripley's comment, I did notice the open view ports of the vehicles in the pictures which I assume are not a feature of the kits. Not a problem for me ^___^.
The problem with 3D rendering is that the 3D models we used for the rendering is different from
that of our 3D drawings. In our industry, 3D drawings <is not equal to> 3D models, thus creating
minor feature compatibility issues. We would rather spend time to update our 3D drawings than
spending extra time to modify a 3D model to match exactly like our plastic kit. The rendering
might take a few hours, but only used as an artwork, then is put aside forever...
Furthermore, the artwork is an outsource job, thus creating even more human communication
issues. Rather spend the time to focus on product development as long as the 3D rendering
depicts closely what we wanted to represent and within a close similarity.
