Crusader air recognition star
« on: January 22, 2017, 12:08:43 am »
Just built up the Crusader kit, really happy with it so far, good work! Building the late war AA version.

The decal sheet comes with a rather complicated and large Allied air recognition star in multiple pieces. It's slightly baffling, I think it fits the roof of the AA turret. Does anybody have a picture of one to use as a guide?

If you do an internet search you'll find plenty of photos (mostly of the 1/48 scale Tamiya model).

OK, thanks. I found some images such as this. I'm assuming that the decal is designed so that it bends down and covers the vertical surfaces of the "trench" that runs along the centreline of the turret, as well as the horizontal surfaces? Looks like a job for tons of Micro Sol and tweezers...
