I am very happy with Rubicon Models' SdKfz 222, and should they release an SdKfz 232 plastic model kit, well, I certainly wouldn't say no to it. However, is there a reason to have a second plastic model kit of an SdKfz 234? Regardless, I would much rather see Rubicon Models release a plastic model kit of the M3 Medium Tank (Lee/Grant), SU-76, and Soviet AT-Gun long before they do a plastic model kit of the SdKfz 234.
Here is a Italeri/Rubicon SdKfz 234/1 kit-bash.
Some modelling skill is needed because the Rubicon Models turret works best if you do some simple modifications. For example, I removed the bottom ring protrusion and moved the "L" hooks inward for a proper fit. I also added curved tabs to the front and back to keep the turret centered and to keep it from shifting.
Alternatively, you can modify the hull to fit the turret, but by modifying the turret, I was still able to use the original 234/2 turret. By doing this, I can easily switch turrets thereby giving me the option to have either a SdKfz 234/1 or a SdKfz 234/2.
