General Discussions / Re: Small Arms and Equipment Sets

I would definitely be interested in something like this both to add to my vehicles and to customize my Rubicon and Perry infantrymen.

Sprues full of canteens, e tools, mattocks, hatchets, haversacks, musette bags, GP ammunition carrying bags, individual ammo cans, bangalore torpedoes, satchel charges, and other related items in the same size as the rest of the Rubicon figures would be great. I have a bunch of this stuff from Warlord but it's too big to use.

I agree with what others have said. The figures look great but I would much rather prefer figures in more "dynamic" action poses.

Wish Lists / Field Gear / Pouches / Accouterments Sprue
« on: September 06, 2019, 02:33:07 pm »
One idea I've had while building my US Forces from various brands (Warlord, Rubicon, Black Tree, Empress, etc) is for a company to make sprues of extra gear and accouterments for infantry or stowage. I would love these items to add realism and variety to my forces and to make special troops look more unique.

Ideally, these could be made for each nation.

Specifically for the US one, I would like to see:
M1910 Entrenching Tools (belt mounted)
M1910 Hand Axe
M1910 Pick Mattock
M1938 Wire Cutters
M1936 Musette Bag
SCR 536 "Handie Talkie"
SCR 300 "Walkie Talkie"
Packboard (maybe multiple types, some with ammo cans, some with mortar rounds, wire spools, etc)
M1 Ammunition Bag
SMG Spare Magazine Bag
3 Pocket Grenade Carrier
M1944 Field Pack System
M1910/M1941 Canteen
Gas Mask Bags
Medic Bag
Ammunition carrying vest (maybe front and rear panels?)
M1905/M1/M4 Bayonets in scabbards
Folded tripods for M1919 and M1917
.30 cal ammo cans (individual and with arms molded carrying them)
Folded/rolled jackets (as seen being worn hung off of soldier's belts)

I realize that some of these items come in the US Rangers box from Warlord, however the scale on them is rather large and would strange on my "non-heroic" figures. Maybe some more heads can be added as well to give some variety, although I suppose this would be difficult given the differences in scale of many 28mm figures from varying companies.

What do you guys think? What would you add to the items I listed for an American Sprue?
What would you include in a British, German, or Soviet Sprue?

Introduce Yourself / Re: Introduce Yourself Here...

New WWII wargamer here. I had a bunch of 40k stuff as a kid but never really got into the game part of it. As an adult I started making 28mm WWII models as a distraction while finishing some schooling. I was introduced to Bolt Action and now have multiple Rubicon, Warlord, and Perry kits along with some from other less "mainstream" brands.
I love Rubicon kits and can't wait for some of the new US stuff to come out!
