And lovely it is too. Just working on it now.....but, I assume piece A27 is an option if A22 and A28 aren't used, and what the heck is A47?

A27 and A47 are spare parts for the Kubelwagen Radio Car conversion which is available separately.

I really enjoyed building this kit. The Rubicon Models' Kubelwagen kit is a very good kit that goes together very well. However, when I dry fitted part A19 to part A14, it didn't look right. Part A19 sits to high on part A14. I pulled out my reference books to check. Sure enough the tire (part A19) should be almost touching. What I did was to trim the nub on part A14 so that part A19 would look like what I see in my books (and actual photos). For the DAK tire (part A10), you might not need to do this.

Anyway, I hope this helps others that are going to build this nice Rubicon Models kit.

One note though, I was a little disappointed that the kit did not already include parts for having the canvas cover up or down like what you get with the RM Jeep kit, but this still didn't stop me from picking up three RM Kubel kits. Back when I was still able to get RM kits.

Here is a good example from forum member "06/24" demonstrating how easy it is to trim some of the plastic off part 14 that holds the spare wheel (part A19) so that the regular tire sits more proper on the front of the Kubelwagen.

Important Note: The wheels look very similar, but the front wheels and the rear wheels are not the same (fine details, center hub). Parts A11 and A20 are the front wheels, as per the instructions. These could easily get mixed up after cutting them from the sprue.

As I have done (on one side or the other!) I remembered on the Jeep to mark the front hubs, but forgot on this, and paid the price. They are too well stuck to swap now, so I shall have to assume the new owners haven’t read the field manual...
