Individual Sherman track pieces to be combined on the turret.

Three link spare track rack for the Sherman glacis

Tools, specifically those for Shermans including the big tension wrench thing.

Water bottles, individual and in groups.

1 - 25 pounder charge box ( this size box also used for 2 inch mortar among other things ) 2 - Tools ( idler wrench , M4 engine crank , shovel , pick etc. 3 -fire extingisher 4- 17 pounder ammo box


5 - smoke mortar - on early lend lease tanks , later tanks had it built in , loaders side of turret roof

6 - Pzr III / IV track , 7 - Sherman track

8-  three link spare track racks , mounted on most Commonwealth Sherman type tanks

Soviet stowage - I will find the thread.  Although all of these suggestions for a British set are very good.  I'd add that more bedrolls would be welcome.

New Allied (Soviet) stowage set:

1. 76mm and 85mm ammo boxes (and shells)
2. Unditching logs (for different sized tanks)
3. Replacement spare fuel tanks (for upgrading the earlier T-34 kits)
4. Soft stowage (Soviet tanks often carried fairly untidy looking bags of gear hanging from the turret or hull)
5. Suitcases
6. Tools (especially the big bandsaw often carried)
7. Spare transmission (carried by early T-34s)
8. Bucket, pots, looted jerrycans
9. Spare tracks for various tank types
10. DShK machine gun
11. Separate grab handles to replace moulded-on version
12. Spare wheels (including one for the new truck)

The grab handles are an interesting thought.

On a similar line, hull and turret lifting rings for your tanks (M4s especially).

For the Soviets, the Bed Frame armour used as protection against HEAT weapons like Panzerschreck and panzerfaust..

Pinky's suggestion of a Dshk made me think of other weapons that would be of use.

For Bolt Action the basic SAS Jeep has both an HMG and an LMG facing forward and a twin LMG facing back with options to replace any/all the LMGs with MMGs. The Rubicon kit can only build a model with the rear twin mount as MMG. A pair of BREN guns would  (one per sprue) would solve that problem.

Of course a Vickers water cooled MMG would be useful for the gun trucks but would require design work.

Aside from stuff they seem to have found / looted ,, the Russians didn't really have to much " cool " stuff in the way of stowage . Hand tools like shovel , pick and crosscut saw . Lots of 76 / 85 mm ammo boxes ,at least in the late war as they where rushing towards Berlin . Logs of various diameters , tarps   and distinctive ends on the T-34  tow cables ( Stalin  / KV  were of different size / shape ). Only tanks that I've seen pictures of with spare road wheels . early T-26 models  and the  T-28 . I've looked for years for a picture of a T-34 with spare wheels , nothing . Spare drive wheel seen on early 1940 model , usually also caring a spare transmission , but no road wheel . Pictures of tanks missing wheels and even some T-34s with Panther road wheels  . A set of the T shaped tow hooks for  the front and rear of the T-34  would be nice , a real PIA to try and make yourself . A set of single  T-34 track pieces , both the toothed and flat plate version would be handy ., as well maybe a 2 or 3 link piece with the grab handle molded on to add the the turret sides might be handy . I must admit , I've pretty much kit bashed /cast / made all this stuff myself already .





Really going out on a limb here , but how about as  a one sprue  add on kit . The top one is WW2 , the bottom is a post war version of the roller

Yes , those T hooks . A real pain to try and make your own in this scale if you want to add tow cables properly hooked up . Looks to be a post war model T-34 as it has a splash board , seen on 1950s Russian tanks . Of course could be a WW2 model that was upgraded . There are still more than a few kicking around in combat in 3rd world counties almost 70 years after WW2
