IMO Vietnam (and Aussie cent) make more sense in 1/56. I'd love a Rubicon produced Israeli Centurion, but for wargaming purposes I'd want it in 15mm or less (ideally 10mm I guess).

I would have preferred 1/50, as it suits Empress miniatures.

Sure, I can see that. I meant more generally, I can see wargaming Vietnam in 28mm (with whatever scale vehicles you think suits) but aside from Vietnam, I much prefer to wargame the Cold War era in smaller scales.

Particularly if we're looking at the Six Days and Yom Kippur wars (re an Israeli centurion option) - something I'm looking at currently, I'm trying to decide between 6mm/10mm and possibly 15mm. A Rubicon centurion in 10 or 15 would make that decision easy 

Still, it does look very nice Rubicon, I might buy a 1/56 / 28mm one for modelling/display purposes I guess, but it wouldn't have any wargaming utility - for me anyway.

Ah, you have not been watching the "Conflicts that came in from the Cold" sub-forum on Lead Adventures.
Someone complained that that all the threads on page one were about Vietnam.

Empress Miniatures (and to a lesser extent Gringos 40) have a rapidly expanding range of figures and (vehicles in 1/48-50 scale).

There's a need to recognise that these are companies trying to make money and are inherently in competition with each other. But that shouldn't distract from the central point about the bigger picture of what should get made in plastic. For a company to make a kit, it has to be expected to sell enough to return a profit obviously, but sometimes that doesn't mean what people shout the loudest for. Sure a plastic T-35 would be cool, but really how many people would actually buy one?

Whereas the SdKfz 10 (I know, I know)... there might not appear to be the demand for it but its a kit which almost every German player will want to have (multiples of, if you ask me!) - even if they might not currently know that yet, they will once they have the option. It should be a staple kit and I find it mind-boggling that none of the main producers make one (not even in resin). Sometimes making it will make the demand appear - it's the tow of choice for almost all the AT and flak guns Rubicon now make, let along the AA variants, etc.

Interesting Elias . Have you started building it yet ? And how big is it going to be when finished ?
Jimmy , there are a few Doras in1/72 ( Trumpeter & Hasegawa IRC ) , and some mad fool of a company makes one in 1/35 scale . Its about 8 feet long when built . There was a nice set of pictures of a built one in a diorama ( about 18 feet long ! ) a couple of years ago on Armorama I think . It was totally awe inspiring .

Yes I have thought about getting one in 1/72 but its then too small for 28mm and too big for 15mm - and whilst it could just be a display piece fundamentally the issue is storage space! I already have many many (many many) boxes of models, like most on here I suspect, and not sure I could justify the room the Karl-Gerät (or anything bigger) would take up in 1/56!

Agreed an armoured train would be good too!

We have updated our production schedule with Q2/19 releases.  Some new projects are added as well.

Nice to see the resin tracks appear! Will the resin Tiger tracks cover both early and late options?

Am waiting for them to be available before picking up a few more Tigers...

Something like this could also be the chance for you to start diversifying in scales... I can't imagine buying one of these (or anything bigger!) in 1/56. 1/100 however... 

A 1/100 or TT Gauge DORA would be amazing.

The problem with WLG is not about giving feedback to the manufacturer but the lack of knowledge and resources to commit themselves to work on these development projects.  Maybe not with Italeri but even under their own brand, they are not able to follow up their projects properly... don't think those people in-charge knew anything about tanks.  WLG is a trader, not a manufacturer, tbh.

I would be surprised to hear if they check the work of those they make contracts with. They ask Italeri, PSC, or SG to produce a plastic model kit for their Bolt Action line, and (possibly) don't bother to check it later. Most likely because what you (RM) said. WLG is a trader and not a manufacture. Even if they did have someone on their staff that could check the details of contracted projects, would they? They are probably trusting in the expertise of the companies they are making the project contracts with.

They haven't even corrected the box of their plastic Marder III still, pretty sure they must know by now it's the wrong variant by now but obviously aren't bothered about it...

Yes, the Katyusha Kit-Bash project seems to be an easy one. I'm still gathering details, but from what dry fitting I have done, looks like the parts will work with minimal modification.

Look forward to seeing it!

Katyusha kitbash sounds interesting! Haven't tried it, but doesn't look like it would be good difficult to pull off.

Looking at the instructions, it seems the T-26 should be reasonably easy to magnetise some of the different options - having the kit does that hold up?

I have the Trenchworx resin T-28, which is very nice (quite similar to Rubicon in terms of the kind of resin, at least in appearance/crispness etc). Away at the moment, so don't have any phots to hand of it. I can't see there'd be the demand to support a plastic T-28 in 1/56 but I'd certainly be interested in seeing a resin kit of one from Rubicon.

Think that the PzII and BT series should definitely be done in plastic. I have one resin PzII for my DAK, but when/if Rubicon release a plastic one I intend to do some 39-40 era Germans, as well as use it to replace/add to my DAK!
