Noted, thank you. The red primer gives the model that added touch of realism.

No problem. Hope you enjoy your build as much as I enjoyed mine. It's a lovely kit.

I have been considering ordering this model from Rubicon USA, and I consider no more, after seeing this splendid rendition of an iconic armored fighting vehicle. Wonderful work. If you don't mind me asking what paint, by color and brand, did you use for the red primer?

Hi Stuart, IIRC. it was actually a Vallejo Model Colour, Red Leather I think...

Sort of inspired by a well known photograph, this is my 'homage'.

Chicken..!  I painted the wheels on my R35 in 1/72 scale ;-)   Looks great. I might have to get one.

Thank you for that. Very promising, though it doesn't appear to include the trench-crossing skid.

And yes, I don't mind kit bashing, and I may even attack one of my pre-built Pumas with the Stummel add on, though as they are both built, it could be a bit tricky.

I still want a plastic 231 8 rad though. And Panzer Is, although the Panzer II hunger has been assuaged a little with a Warlord resin one from Carronade yesterday.

Hi all,  Doug here, primarily a wargamer, though I do enjoy modelling itself. Moved back to Scotland (hi Pete!) East Coast, a couple of years back, from Australia, and have been playing Chain of Command over the last couple of years. The Rubicon kits are the best value on the market, and scratch my itch as a modeller.

Very much looking forward to the new PzIII and PzIV kits, hoping to see some future releases for my Early War forces.

I do like quirky and different, so while I like to build nice Shermans, Tigers and T34, I'd rather see some stuff like Vickers VI, T70, Comet, Marmon Herrington A/C, and so on.

Looking forward to seeing other people's work on here too.

I have a blog at http://aleadodyssey.blogspot.co.uk/ but not really much Rubicon stuff on there yet other than the Crusader.

Oh, that looks just fantastic.  Very much looking forward to this one. Can I hope the 'future version' hull-top will allow early Pz III StuG?

I know there's a plastic Matilda, but I understand it only has limited options. So I can't build a BEF version or an Aussie one from this kit. (I believe).

I also know there's a Puma, (somehow I ended up with two of them), but the range of Sdkfz 234+ variants would be nice as add on kits, or even the earlier 231 series, which saw extensive service before being withdrawn in favour of the Sdkfz 250 as a recce vehicle.

Finally, the one I forgot to add was the Panzer I & variants.

And of course any of the French tanks, carriers etc, saw service in German hands. But that might be going too far.

For me, yes, it has to be a vehicle that will sell well, but it would be nice if it wasn't so ubiquitous that everyone already had one.

So -
German
Pz II
Early Pz III
later war 8 wheeled German armoured car variants, (Stummel, Pak40 etc.)
US
Chaffee
Pershing
UK
Comet
Vickers VIb & c
Matilda II
Soviet
T70
BT7
