Wish Lists / For the new Vietnam line - helicopter passengers
« on: August 26, 2021, 12:53:19 pm »
Looking at all the great figures in the upcoming Vietnam line, I’m sure M113 passengers and tank riders (both US and PAVN) are on the drawing board.  I wanted to suggest, however, that passengers for the UH-1 - sitting on the floor, feet dangling above the skids - be considered for possible development.

Cheers,
-N

On FB there was a post saying they’re up on the UK website now.  Not on the USA website yet (I checked this morning).

Here’s another vote for this vehicle - a true classic of the desert war.

General Discussions / Pewter Figure Line Expansions?
« on: June 22, 2021, 01:54:20 am »
Hi All - I recently assembled a bunch of the US pewter figures and really like the result.  They look great, and I really appreciate the anatomically correct scale rather than the "heroic scale" some other companies use.

I was wondering if there are plans to expand these pewter lines to include US figures using the BAR (I know there is a single figure in the at-ease set, but was hoping for a more "in the field" kind of pose), and perhaps a bazooka team, an M1919 team, etc.  Same sort of question for the German line - any plans for a bipod-mounted version of an LMG or figures in combat poses with MP40s?

Many thanks,
-N

I for one prefer the anatomically correct figures - the "heroic" stuff looks cartoonish to me.  YMMV

A pair of prone Marines manning an M60 MG would be a nice addition.

Very much looking forward to all of those releases.

Wish Lists / M48A3 with Options
« on: February 05, 2021, 12:33:16 am »
Since you've jumped into the Vietnam era, the M48A3 with 90mm gun would be a good companion piece to the proposed M113 kit as well as the proposed (plastic or resin) M551 Sheridan.

One of the great aspects of your kits are the options you include.  In this case the options could include the following: USMC flame-tank version of the M48A3, the 105mm-gunned M48 that was present in US forces in Europe, and the 105mm-gunned M48 as used by the Israelis (different commander's cupola).

Not only would an M48 kit enable US Armored Cavalry actions in Vietnam (the Sheridan didn't deploy to Vietnam until 1969), but it would open up the Arab-Israeli wars since you already have (or will soon have) the M113 and the M3 half-track in your line (you could do a bonus sprue with M3 weapons / cargo specific to Israeli use).  Of course adding the Israelis would lead to adding post-war Soviet kits for the Arab forces - but that's another wish-list altogether. ;)

These are wonderful figures - and the painted samples look great.  Will we see People's Army of North Vietnam figures in 2021 as well, or will VC crew-served weapons come first?

Simply cannot wait for the ACAV version of the M113 - wonderful choice for a kit.  Should be a treat to deck it out with soldier graffiti and accessories.

Hi Everyone - thanks for allowing me to join the forum.  I’m located in Southern California.  I did a lot of 1/35th scale modeling in my youth (which was a long time ago) but shifted my military-history interest to war-gaming since then.  Rubicon seems like a good fit for adding modeling back into hobby-life while still gaming.  Loving the new Vietnam kit previews - great stuff.
