This is so nice.....I have to get my hands at one of these….unfortunately they were sold out everywhere.

Great weathering and snow effects!

Cheers from Bavaria / Germany

By the end of WW2 the German Luftwaffe had a big storage of unused 20mm aircraft cannons and the Wehrmacht was in desperate need of AA-vehicles. So three of the belt fed MG151/20 were mounted together in a 251/D Halftrack. The weapon was quite effective, also against ground targets. The biggest disadvantages were the cramped space inside the vehicle, the very simplified way to move the gun (with the gunners body weight) and the unsufficent armor protection for the crew.

The gunner wears a version of the late-war anti-Infrared Leibermuster dress, which was issued in very limited numbers during the last weeks of WW2.

Cheers from Bavaria

Thomas

Hello,

as a counterpart to my "T34/85", here is a small vignette showing a battle worn Panther tank, G-Version in a late-war-scenario. I like the  "cartoonish" appearance of the figures, especially the "Knight´s Cross Owner" with sunglasses.

I did some experimental stripe camo on this tank, using airbrush and masking tape.

Tank: Rubicon Models
Figs: Warlord Games and Black Tree Design

Cheers from Northeastern Bavaria

Thomas

It really fits in with the back ground scene ( land around where you live or photo shop ? ) I think if you posted the pictures in black & white they could pass as actual WW2 photos

I took the pictures yesterday at noon just outside the house. So this is eastern Bavaria 2020 and not the eastern front 1944. :)

Looks great . Really like the tree , make it yourself or a scenery product ?

Thank you, the tree is self made. A dried root from a fallen tree together with ready made flocking material from mininature.

Very unusual but authentic camo scheme. Looks very good.

It all looks very nice, and good photography.
This only took you a week to finish? Fast work.

P.S. Your five RM German infantry figures look very nice. Only five more to paint for a squad (not counting the two chaps in the half-track). Will this be a permanent 1/56 scale vignette? Or will the models eventually see some tabletop action?

you forgot the third chap inside the halftrack. It has also a driver figure.  :) This is a permanent diorama and the figs are glued to the ground. No wargaming intentions.  :)

Hello,
I always liked the appearance of the sdkfz 250 halftrack, with it´s simplified shape. So I decided to do a vignette in 1/56 scale. The Building is from Blackdog miniatures, it fits perfect into any common picture frame 10x15cm (common in countries with metric system)  :)

This was a fun project, and it took me just a week to finish it.

Regards from sunny (but too dry) Bavaria

You are right. After the washings the mould lines become cleary visible.

Hello everybody,

this is my first contribution here.

I am working on a late war urban diorama, (perhaps Berlin 45) by using this Rubicon Panther and a destroyed T34/85 (same brand) as center pieces, along with buildings and lots of Warlord Games plastic figs. I love those comiclike faces and the multipose character. More pics will follow.

I tried to give the Panhter a very used and battleworn look of a vehicle in heavy fights. I think I will do some additional weathering to fit in the vehicle in the landscape.

Best regards from Bavaria

Thomas
