I Just got round to ordering a spare Panther kit which I plan to turn into Bergepanther and Panthersturm. The Panthersturm will be easy enough. I'm quite confident with most of the bergepanther, But i notice the top front part of the hull Where the driver and MG gunner would be is completely open and im wondering how best to model the interior?
Does any one have a good phot of this area external and internal. I'm look through the internet now but most photos i find tend not to me looking to hard at that area.
I have no Idea how factual this. It's a style i've seen done and replicated. As far as I'm aware there would have been oxide red panthers about as they were rushed out of the factories and the crew were handed or not handed the paint.
I thought these models looked lovely. I hadn't realised until looking through the instructions that both infant packs could be used together. But I would not want to try and Squeeze all 9 into the back of the smaller Ausf C... maybe into a D but still would be a squeez.
Yeah I've been on furlough so I have alot of spare time at the moment. This is a kit I've wanted to do for ages and with the free postage offer in the last month from rubicon....well it twisted my arm. This is a kit I've wanted to do since doing the 251/22 kit and chatting with Ripley on here a while ago.
One of the things I love about these Rubicon kits is how much I learn about all the variations of the vehicles from Early Mid and late to the odd subtle design changes of Eg the Alte and Neu and the 251 C and D models.
Pro tip I hadn't realised the 250/9 expansion kit can make Both the Alte and Neu or and Alte and 251/23 (the 251/23 is on the desk)
Been very busy with commission paint work so had little time to get onto my Rubicon pile haha, but managed to squeez in one of my Panther kits. 2nd attempt ever at ambush pattern, Although im not even 90% happy with the out come its a hall of alot better then how it came out on my 1/72 scale Puma some years ago....practice will make perfect I guess.
Very impressed with the kit on this. Loved the option for the extra stowage racking on the back. Had I not already decided on a tank rider theme I certainly would have gone for a heavy stowage theme . The Tank riders are by offensive miniatures.
Got creative and added some bed spring armour extra handles. Bed spring armour was a little to big i feel but I have plenty more soviet tanks to get it right on.
