Work In Progress / 3D Tracks
« on: August 31, 2021, 10:14:43 pm »
There is a work in progress article on the FB page regarding 3D printed T34 tracks.....

I think RM are focusing too much time and resources in the wrong direction...

Just look at the detailed tracks in the king Tiger kit. RM have done an excellent job and they have proved they can do them in plastic.

Do L&L sets for the panther,T34,Tiger Sherman's,Panzers Tec,with a new drive sprocket and idler.

Sell them as upgrade sets for the main kits.

Power to the plastic link and length.

General Discussions / Sherman tow shackles
« on: July 05, 2021, 07:05:57 pm »
I have a few of the RM Sherman's and I was wondering why they do not have tow shackles in the kits. Are there any aftermarket options available or do you all make your own.
I was hoping that RM would do an upgrade blister pack with the different types of shackles for the M4s and M4A3.

On another point,
I have noticed as well that the headlamps in the new M4A1 kits are better than those in the earlier kits. The brush guards are fine it's just the lamps are moulded too high and floating above the hull front. I guess that I will try and drill the lamp blobs out as most of the time the lamps were removed and stowed away in the daytime.

Wish Lists / A few more figure sets
« on: July 01, 2020, 04:04:35 pm »
A few more sets would be nice ;

US BAR team or .30 cal team walking.
UK piat/50mm mortor team walking.

And that is just a start.

Since the Bedford QLT is in the pipeline I guess seated British infantry will follow.

But everyone else on this thread would have a different request.

Wish Lists / Heads - you Win..
« on: June 03, 2020, 04:36:17 pm »
I recently got some British figures from the web store and they are brilliant.

What would be nice is if RM make blister pack with different heads or release more packs of the same figures but with different heads.

British would have netted / added webbing helmets and the 1944 (turtle) helmets.
Would ANZAC / Indian turban heads work for the Burma campaign.

The US could have a few netted helmets / head wearing a cap/ afro American heads

Germans -foliage covered helmets, field caps/side caps / bare heads

Russians- side caps ( enemy at the gate )

I see some vehicle sets have optional heads but if applied to the infantry sets it would increase the variaty in the range without making new figures.

Wish Lists / Sdkfz 251 A/B and 232
« on: June 03, 2020, 03:29:07 pm »
It would be nice to have an early 251 to cover the German army for 1939 - 41 campaign's since the 251C was produced from mid 1942.

I guess this could be done as an upgrade set; top hull with vision ports for the A , front hull armour, tool configuration on side of hull..

Since I am looking into the early war period why have we not got any 232 8 rad a/c`s yet, for the Blitzkrieg and DAK, unless they are on the RM to do list but I think they have a lot to do at the moment.
