Wouldn't  a M-48 Patton tank be a better choice than a M-551 Sheridan for your first U.S. Vietnam War in plastic? In addition,it was used by many other countries after the Vietnam War.

I would definitely purchase a few M60A3's

That's surprising.  Usually the U.K. get new model kits way before we do in the U.S.A. The U.S. webstore has had the Semovente and M-13/40 kits available  since December 30th, and they've been in my LHS for two weeks now.

Thanks.
You could use the sand shields from the M-4 kit, but you will have to modify them to fit the M4A1

You could cut out the earlier M-3/M-4 bogie assemblies as complete units, by cutting into the track links between the links, and remove the assemblies. You would have to first make sure that the track links will line up with the section of track with the extended end connectors.  Then do the same to the section of tracks with the extended end connectors, and then glue the  two sections together to form a new section of track.
You would then have to cut the extended edge connectors off of the section of track/bogie wheel assemblies that you cut out , at the edge of the extended edge connectors  and track links,, and glue them onto the new made section of tracks.

Yes, how did you remove bogie and wheel sets from a set of tracks without destroying the tracks?

Unfortunately I destroyed the bogie wheels and bogie trucks when removing them from the track unit. I removed the bogie assemblies by cutting with a sprue cutter and saw,  just above the track guide teeth.I then used an exacto knife to cut between the track guide teeth and bogie wheels, down to the inside edge of the track links , cutting into the bogie wheels and return rollers as to not damage the track guide teeth.  Then I cut  and carved the bogie wheels from the opposite side to the edge of the  hopefully undamaged track guide teeth.
Good luck, go slow and be careful

There are whole theatres open for plastic figures. Choose a theatre where you have a range of existing vehicle models (and the sales information) and release opposing forces for the popular ones.

Barbarossa is one (you have a lot of the hardware already available or in the production pipeline).
Blitzkrieg is another (less of the hardware, but always hopeful).

You have quite a few vehicles in your range that were used in the North African theater, how about some figures for this theater?
Yes, both Warlord and Perry Miniatures have figures for this theater, but how about plastic Italians or Free French? Perry makes these figures in metal, but not in plastic. This would be a first from any company  in plastic.

I don't belong to Facebook, but will view your pictures there. WOW!! Your upcoming M-26 Pershing kit looks amazing!! I really like the track options, and especially like the link and length sections with great detail. I'll definitely buy a couple of them, and ditch my resin warlord M-26 kits

That's quite a large selection of decals,  and very nice.  Could you show an update on the kit, please?

Will the equipment rail/bar on the side skirts be molded in place, or will they be optional? They look a little oversized. The rest of the model looks great

Please use these type of  road wheels , instead of the T-34 type spider-web road wheel that you show in your 3-D renderings. It is more common, especially for later T-54's The spider-web road wheels were replaced with these roadwheels starting around 1954

General Discussions / Small Arms and Equipment Sets
« on: July 10, 2020, 11:54:46 pm »
Rubicon,
Do you think it would be worthwhile to make and sell small arms and equipment sets for the main combatants and their allies? They're aren't any sets out there of rifles,sub-machine guns, or light machine guns, aside from a small pewter set.
I was building a plastic  M-3 Stuart, and compared the 1919 light machine gun from that kit to your Allied equipment set's 1919. There are some differences as far as size. With a weapons and equipment set, one could standardize the light machine guns on their kits, even from different manufactures.
On pictures of tanks in the field, besides blankets, tarps, boxes and fuel cans, you see sets of canteens strung across the turret, breadbags and infantry packs in close reach in case the tank has to be abandoned.
One could also use field equipment in conversions of existing infantry sets. One could use French leather ammo pouches,French canteens and French weapons to convert either the Warlord 8th army or Commonwealth set into Free French. I've read of people using the Warlord Japanese infantry sets and converting them into World War One German infantry.
 What do you think?.

Please make the BTR-60PB upgrade as well. I myself would rather have that version than the earlier versions.

If Rubicon shows another clue, and it's the Empire State Building in New York City, to go along with the jungle scene, I'll have it figured out.
After all, they said it's not for everyone, it's bold, beautiful, and stunning( if they include a Fay Ray, or a much younger Jessica Lange, or a Naomi Watts figure)
