A much-needed progress update on the crew for the Kettenkrad.  The delay is due to the long queue and priority issues with figure mould making... Crew TS1 plastic is finally upon us!

We can't tell you right now... not because it is a secret, but the Chinese New Year holiday always give us surprises!  We might be able to give you some more info after the holidays, which is the last week of February.  :-\

Following the T34 Calliope MRL from yesterday is our resin deep wading trunk for all M4 variants. All trunks have interior details so that you can model them with -or- without the trunk itself! Enjoy!

So the barrel is an additional part on the early variant?

Correct, that's because the mounting ring is on the gun barrel, and getting the ring onto the existing plastic barrel will look awkward.

Our M4 Sherman add-on resin kit - The T34 Calliope Tank Mounted Multiple Rocket Launcher (MRL). The T34 comes with two choices - early and late production variants. It also comes with a hole drilling fixture for the turret as well.

If you looked at the T34 closely, you will find our resin design integrate seamlessly with our plastic kit. Quality & detail is our priority when it comes to our "Rubicon Models" name!

Making good plastic figures need experience, particularly with multi-pose ones; otherwise, they will look terrible.  Making quality metal figures will give us the experience in many aspects of sculpting and production... In the end, will enable us to produce a high standard plastic figure set for each nation.  At least, that is the plan... ;)

In the meantime, we will continue to release PLASTIC figures in blister packs in parallel with our metal figure releases.  With metal figures, we are able to UPGRADE their sculpt details and poses when we do recasts, that's an advantage over their plastic counterparts.

I would classify them more as firing and advancing (or running).

Should be running... corrected.

So are the production ones going to be in metal or are these just samples?

These are pewter and are production samples.  Will be the same as the commercially available ones!

Start working on the LVT crew. Planning to have 2 to 3 crew sets for the complete LVT range. Still a WIP, but looking into options like with or without a life vest, USMC and US standard uniform, etc. Feedback welcome!

NO MORE HAIR LOSS - People had been complaining about pewter being hard to put together and without proper instructions.
We have a perfect solution: Factory SEMI-ASSEMBLED pewter parts! We do most of the hard work, you have all the fun... painting and playing with them!

We have not slowed down with our plastic vehicle production. We are launching several new product ranges in 2018 to strengthen our position in the market. We are enhancing what is already in the marketplace with better quality and designed products.  Here is an example:

First is that there are no spare track links in the kit which would have been nice to put onto the front of the tank.
I do have the Allied stowage box, but the Sherman track links are different to those on this tank.

Because of the way the new Shermans are designed, we are not able to include "spare" accessories to them.  We might add the spare tracks in our next Allied Stowage Set.

Second is that the add on armour is not included on the sprues, but is not a massive task to produce IF you have some suitable thin plasticard. I did not, so had to order a sheet.

We have studied the M4A2 for add-on armour, not too many have them.  This is similar to the M4 where large hatch model usually doesn't have extra armour.  That's why we only add extra armour on M4 small hatch hull.

Third issue is that in general practice British Shermans used the 30cal MG instead of the 50cal HMG in Normandy and beyond. I think there were only a couple of units that kept the ma deuce on their tanks.
I have used the 30cal mg from the Allied Stowage set, but now need to buy another stowage set so that i can fit a 30cal to all my new tanks. It would be great if you could include both types in the kits.

Again, this had to be addressed with more 30cal MG on future stowage sets...

Some studio work by our in-house artist Rico Chia.
