it looks narrow but the top piece opens with the side so it is a bit bigger than it looks, still not wanting to get trapped though!

the usa did use the m4a4 dd in the later stages of the war to cross various canals in germany as their existing dd's were all worn out, i think they got them from the british

it should be an sdkfz 11 gun tractor half track, what a lot of people do not realise is that every german halftrack has unique wheel paterns, the sd11/251 has round holes on the road wheels.

well as ripley says they were all different fixtures dependant on the engine type, we may just end up doing a generic set with some adaptors for each type.
as we have done in 1/72 scale
not sure how long the major trucking is done just the fittings to make when i get a spare 5 mins!

i think leaving engine decks as a separate part or parts would be ideal, could make m4, m4a2 and m4a3 from same early or late hulls
