I filled mine with Milliput.

I thought I had a photograph of the filled wheels, but only found I had not after I had glued them in.

Zvezda 15mm scale Panzer 38(t) together with the Warlord model.

Numbers by Rubicon (German AFV set times two).

For the 15mm model the numbers on the JPnzr 38(t) might have been nearer the correct size.

A good thought.

It probably should be (it works out at 1.68 inches across - 0.030 x 0.010 Slater's microstrip). 0.020 inch is also available, that works out at 1.12 inches.

It also could do with being a bit higher up the cans (trying to avoid the W^D logo).

I might add a lip at the bottom.

I had not thought to look at the Rubicon USA site, you are correct.

The joys of a collapsing currency (ours not yours).

So if I just want a SDKFZ250/9 it'll cost me $45? At that price I think I'll be looking elsewhere.

J
Not quite sure where you got your prices from, but The Plastic Soldier Company quote  £18 for a half track and £10 for a single sprue PAK 40 set, £28 or $36 at an exchange rate of £1 : $1.29 (exchange rate from Google this morning).

You might find  combi-bargains if you buy the two together (or someone who wants a 251 variant).

A little bit of detailing for a Warlord Sherman VC.

There is room on the left back of the hull besides the storage box for four jerry cans.

I thought this would be a good use for part A11, though it needed to be cut in half.
A War Department jerry can was fitted at one end with the logo showing. At the other end a German jerry can was used.

A shelf was made out of 4mm strip and a strap holding them in place out of thin strip.

Two small strips of plastics were added to cans and then it was glued to the back of the tank.

@Pinky: I agree completely.

The Matilda was the Tiger of its day, it was invulnerable to all German anti tank guns and it's "puny" gun could gut any tank that got in its way. Not to say it did not have its faults (too many to list).

It remained in service past the point where other designs superseded it and was unable to be updated like the Panzer IV.

A question came up on the Lead Adventurers forum about the size of various models of jeeps.
http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=90489.0

How does the Rubicon (I assume true scale) jeep compare?

Nice, when can we get them?

That also reminds me about turret bins (Osprey have an illustration of a Panzer III or IV with a second turret bin on the rear deck.

Until recently I had not worked with many resin figures, Forge World mainly (I have no completed Finecast).

I know someone has mentioned this elsewhere, but adding a cupola to a stowage/add on kit would be useful (possibly a whole new T34 turret top plates to match) for T34s in German service.

Elias makes a number of good points.

I love Crooked Dice and Hasslefree metals, they are my standard for metal figures, they are clean castings, the multipart figures go together easily and are a joy to paint.

Other ranges in metals seem to suffer, possibly due to continuing to use moulds past their sell by date, nice figures but poor castings (a Weird War range springs to mind).

Plastic multipart figures are fun to build (and I build many more than I get round to paint).

Some ranges (Gates of Antares being the obvious example) I am only buying the plastics (subject to change).

The entry point for plastic infantry does seem to have lowered, the number of non game tied figures (promoted via Kickstarter etc) indicates the market is there, whether it is long term is another matter.

On the subject of survivability, it is only the Warlord British that have suffered, the Perry British are fine. I need to add some additional padding to stop the figures moving within their individual cells.
