That looks really good . I would swear that was a larger scale model , the  parts are so well detailed. Well done Rubicon

Pinky , turn them into Kangaroos . Put a half dozen figures in the turret race and cover up the soft detail of the hull with ammo boxes , fuel cans and the ever present tarp  ;D I would go the route Warlord does with their Ram Kangaroo , by using half figures . Good way to use up those blah metal figures we've all got gathering dust

Maybe a sharp chisel point blade , remove at neck and wrists . Replace head and hands with BA bits ? At least that's what I would try . Or razor saw both arms at shoulders , chisel neck , and then remove head and hands . Could be a tricky one , but those ones ( when they work  ::) ) are the most fun kit bashes

The loader does lok  a little weird . Are those the PSC Russians ? I always thought the helmets ( I only have their  AT gun kit ) look more US in style than Ivan , so I replaced them with BA heads . Your guy with the sword looks really good , nice job

I feel your pain , lol  . And  I've done the shake the bottle trick a few times as well , it usually ends up splattering something on the bench that I have just completed in a totally different color   ::) . And then of course there's the - reach over for a new bottle of paint , catch the up right brush standing in the water jar with my sleeve and end up  drenching my work bench . At least the water cleans up better than the Turps did back  in the old enamel paint  era .

Terrain ? Yea that might work , I would  need a 6 X 3 table and about 100 pounds of paper mache .   :D

Sounds like  you have some interesting conversions on the go , how about some work in progress photos ?

Would it have been easier to just cut off the sword hand or is the sword going from a right hand ( Officer arm ) to left hand ( Drummer arm ) ?

They really are lots of fun to build  . I like to go through the parts box and try to   make them a little more "realistic " looking , but they look great just out of the box . The LHS has the Panzer III N in stock , so that will probably be the next one I play with . Heard that Meng  have a Firefly and Panzer IV ( or was it Panther ? ) coming next in this series . Sorry I got all excited when I heard Firefly and tuned out the rest .... ::)

Of course I put it back  ;D . No , not really , that would probably poison him , and I have no way to dispose of the  body

I'm sure we've all had our moments when things go a little pear shaped in the  build . How about that special moment when you realize that decals on your tank turret aren't a mirror image  , one is off center and not level  ( seems like every 2nd build these days  ::) ) And then there's the , just a little bit more weathering should make this tank look fantastic , instead of a dusty panzer yellow you end up with a nice brown tank . (  :-[ me too ) . But today's epic fail  is my best one yet . Last night  I mixed up some RTV rubber make a master mold to cast some track pieces and a few bits for my Type 97 Japanese tank . Well somewhere along the way I screwed up on the ratio of catalyst to base . This morning , imagine my surprise to find I have a box of pudding  instead of a rubber mold .                                                                                                                                                                              None of the pieces to be cast where damaged , just coated in a thick gooey , sticks to everything coat of liquid rubber  . It took the best part of 4 hours to clean all the parts using turps , dish soap , bathroom cleaner and Goo Gone in various combinations , as well , my room mate's tooth brush was sacrificed to help scrub  the parts ( why would I use mine ? ) .  I had to keep reminding myself that I enjoy this hobby , because for  a while there I didn't  :D , oh well I think I'll try it again tomorrow , give myself a bit of a break and watch some TV tonight  instead . And finish scrubbing the remaining goo of my hobby bench . So , what's your epic fail or hobby disaster ?

Well got side tracked on the 234 and 251 vehicle conversions . By the time I decided what I wanted to build and headed down to the LHS to get them , both the Puma and 251 D kit had been sold , to one of my buddies  ::) . So , instead I picked up a Meng T-34 egg tank

Its a little too cartoon tank  for my taste , really not loving the dual commander's hatches , so I did a little kit bashing . I was thinking of adding !/35 scale wheels and indi link track , but while I have wheels galore , I only had enough track for about 3/4s of what I needed for both sides . Well maybe the next one

I added some 1/35 parts , the ammo box and tarp are Tamiya , the bow gun and tow cables are from IRC an old Zevda kit . I replaced the flared gun barrel with a plastic barrel from the BA Churchill and the radio antenna is an unused part from the Rubicon SU-85 kit.

They look pretty good , but have you seen Rubicon's  tanks crews and Infantry figures on the their   face book page ? Awesome . Even if I could afford all the new stuff that's coming out ( from both companies ) I don't think I'll live long enough to build / kit bash it all  ::)

Here's a picture taken from the Friday EBay Auction thread on Missing Lynx , our old friend the Panzer IV with 88mm gun
