They look great , nice paint job . And Rubicon decals are great , I use them on most of those " un named " kits  ;D

Fantastic looking model .

It might look like some kind of hammer , but it's supposed to be a jack . Who ever designed the kit got it partly right , its got the base ( foot ) towards the front of the tank , and the crown ( the ] shaped piece ) towards the rear , its the stuff in the middle both Rubicon and Warlord messed up

All Panzer IVs have a jack installed in this spot , hopefully there is still  time to add one to the kit , I'm tired of having to make my own .  ::)  Here are some variations of the German AFV jack , IRC the 20 ton long jack , for the Tiger II , weights in at around 65 kilos , so these things had some heft , and the kit part should reflect that

On Warlord's Panzer IV , the jack looks like yours as  its molded on the fender  ( limitations of the molding I guess ) ,on their Panzer III , its a individual  part which looks correct . You've got all the other fender mounted tools looking great , pity to have a crap looking jack , a separate piece might be the way to go ?

Looking really nice , lots of crisp detail on the bolts , rivets and tools . Still need to fix ( if possible ) the loader's and gunner's side vision ports on the turret ,gunner's no slit , loaders , slit and 4 not 3 bolts . Also fix the jack , it is  not a flat piece gear as molded on the fender

Tha'ts looking better . I use Vallejo 70.988 Khaki , its great for the Brit's webbing as well . Two armie's kit - 1 color , cause I'm cheap  ;D  Really  it's whatever looks good to you , I base my color choices on WW2 webbing and kit that I had collected as a teen in the 70s , and some kit box art that looks " right " to me . If  you  have 2 or 3 of the same figure giving them   lighter or darker kit , plain or a camo helmet makes them look a little more  iduvidual ( and I can't spell  :-[ )

True , but the observation team looks to be multi part resin or plastic , so I was hoping . I really can't see picking up more than one set if metal , if plastic , I'ld get 3 or 4 because of the kit bashing posabilties .

Wow real difference in color between the two , has one got a wash or been dry brushed ?  Does your BS figure have a brown / leather painted side bag or is it a canvas bag with a heavy wash . The only leather gear ( or ersatz leather )  the Russians had were the belt , rifle pouches , pistol holster , map case  & binnoc  case . Everything else was of some form of canvas / fabric , like 2nd rate Brit webbing

Just to give you a heads up before you paint the lot

They seem more "scale " than BA heroic , probably fit well with Rubicon's forthcoming Russians, I hope  . How are the tank riders ? Do they look good , fit well on the tank hull and in more than one position ? I really like the tank crew , wish BS would do a another set of full figures sitting / standing   on the outside of the tank ( for diorama purposes )

Only at the start , then they got the sand colored gear .

1/35 scale boxes for reference . IRC they also used a lot of captured British clothing , lot of pics of Germans bundled up in Brit greatcoats ,etc . For being so effin' hot during the day the desert can get very cold at night

The trucks looking great , I think you've got the wheels done as best as possible with the limitations of the molded parts . How do you find the Bad Squiddo figures , and what sets do you have ? I picked up the tank crew set , and once I get another  T-34 or 2 ( maybe 4  ::) ) I'll get another

These look nice . Again great potential for kit bashing . Hoping to see more sets like this for the Russians and Germans as well . Is that radio pack WW2 or post war ? I had one like it for my GI Joe back in the early 60s , but then lots of WW2 equip did last through the 60s....

A little more work on my latest Panzer IV . I made the engine hatch by pressing the hull in plastercine and casting it in a thin coat of resin , I made about 6 that turned out . Sanded the hatch flat , cut out the cooling slats and added a set of slats to the rear of the door . Really they should be inset in the door but too much work involved in that , as you sand the resin thinner it softens  and bends  ::) That's why you make multiple copies  ;D

After adding the engine hatch , I worked on the turret doors adding internal features , vision and pistol ports . In reality the pistol port should be recessed in the door , but again way too much work for little gain , a square on the door gives the impression of a port , and most people seeing it won't know the difference .

I also added a number of bolts to the Driver's plate , making it look like a late G  with the bolted on extra 30mm plate . I also added part of  a recoil guard in turret which would be visible through the open hatches . The crewman is one of the guys from the BA plastic Uni Carrier , metal head , headphones round his neck and Panzer tunic style coller from thin plastic sheet

I still have one more BA plastic IV to build ,  , although I don't mind having multiples of a kit ( I have 7 IVs ) , I want them to be all a little different so I'll probably turn it into a J with mesh side screens . Here's the Panzer IVs I completed so far .

I got myself a STAEDTLER circle template to help with painting wheels and cutting out circles in thin plastic sheet . It goes from 1/16 (1.587mm ) to 2 1/4 inches ( 57.150mm ) , it gives you 45 different sizes of circles . Picked it up at Office Depot
