I thought it'd be a Hetzer because if the mystery drawing earlier.  I'm not hugely keen on a Hetzer, simply because they're not very interesting to look at (I'd prefer a Marder).  But it's probably useful for gaming purposes.  Presumably Rubicon would include the flamethrower version.

Cool.  I'm not on Facebook, so you're spared having me commenting on your Facebook page... :P

Dunno about the unboxing videos.  They never seem to say much that a few clear photos won't show, and when used to promote a kit they end up being rather repetitive.  Your new man Jamie needs to speak a bit more slowly, I think.  Lovely work on the kits though.

Interesting.  I did some research, and it appears that mounting a Flak gun on a truck this size was a field improvisation.  A Flakvierling would have been quite a heavy weapon for a relatively light truck like an Opel Blitz - a Flak 38 seems to have been more common (see below for an example).  Often the side panels were removed altogether (as in the example below). The Maultier seems to have been fitted with a Flak gun much more frequently.

It also appears that Rubicon's Opel is a relatively early 4x2 version (as shown in the second photo below).  All 3 sides of the cargo bed could indeed be lowered on this version.  The later version had lower sides with wooden slats along the top, and a canopy which extended much further down.

Anyway, it's all good - very much looking forward to buying a few of these kits!

Looks awesome!

One question - did the side panels of the cargo bed actually drop down?  I've never seen a photo of an Opel Blitz with the side panels down.

I see Warlord are about to release a plastic /16 based on their new Ausf D kit (photo below).  It looks okay - they've included some crew in protective suits, which is a nice touch - but some of the detail is rather heavy-handed, and of course Rubicon's basic Ausf D is superior.  I hope Rubicon gets their first Ausf D upgrade set out before Warlord does something similar.

A Hetzer?

The basic truck looks good too (I assume the actual model with have some seats!).

I hope you can give the Katyusha launcher the Rubicon treatment i.e. produce it in as few parts as possible.

Looks very good.  Another great choice of subject.

Fair enough.  I'm happy to see the Studebaker in the pipeline - it will be a welcome addition to my Soviet force.  Presumably there will be a Katyusha version at some point.

Great to see an Allied truck in the works.

Is it viable to provide the parts for both a GMC CCKW and a Studebaker in the same kit?  I have limited references on these vehicles, but they appear to have been very similar apart from the design of the cab (and, it appears, the position of the fuel tank).

1511
Incidentally, I see Warlord have rushed out an Ausf D of their own.  It's basically just their Ausf C with some replacement parts, and looks distinctly inferior to Rubicon's.  And there are no alternative versions.

I guess you ran out of sprue space.  I suppose a lot of people will buy both kits, and will therefore have a spare .30 cal.  And presumably most people will build the M8 anyway (I can't see anyone buying that kit for the M5A1 version).  But it's still a bit unfortunate, as the .30 cal was standard equipment.

1513
I can't check the accuracy of the internal details right now, but they both look great.  I'd suggest you don't bother with the early version of the Ausf D "Stummel" - if you're going to provide an alternative hull top for an Ausd D variant then it's probably better to do that for the /22.

That's fine - but does kit #2 include a .30 cal?  The early M5A1 had a fairly large pintle mounting on the side of the turret, positioned between the grouser racks. The gun and mounting could be in one piece - C28 on sprue C would almost work.

That's a shame - my credit card is poised and ready to take a beating...

Did you change the box art for the SdKfz 251 3-in-1 kit?  There's a version of the /7 on your Facebook page which looks much better - correct colours and more detail.
