I think they’ve pretty much given up on this forum to be honest. Rubicon don’t seem to post here any more. I think they find Facebook reaches a wider audience. Pity, but I suppose there’s only so much time in the day…

That all makes perfect sense, and yes, as a past critic of some of the definition and moulding on some Rubicon plastic crew figures, I can see that your dedication to continually refining and improving your processes is now really starting to pay dividends.

These look fantastic. Well done Rubicon. I hope the end product is as good as the renders and the ambition.

If the VW releases proved successful, it will be our stepping stone to start the WW2 range if there is still room for plastic WW2 figures.

What do you think?

Sorry, I missed this. I think it’s a great idea. Would love to see some more ‘true 1/56’ WW2 multipart plastic sets. The three Perry sets are wonderful, but the vast bulk of WW2 plastic figures in this scale are Warlord, which are way too chunky and cartoony for me. So yes, I think you’ll find there’s plenty of room for plastic WW2 figures produced with realism and quality in mind.

Had another look through in detail.

Especially pleased with the North African theatre crew.

+1   :D

These would be a very nice and useful addition to the Rubicon catalogue. Great for dioramas, kitbashing, and additional set dressing for Rubicon vehicles and figures.

Beautiful. I have the 1/48 Tamiya one. Will be interesting to see how this scales up alongside it...

He looks great. A real improvement  :)

Is it a U-boat? ;)

No, wait. Jungle background... it’s a 28mm HueyCobra.

I hate to be picky, but I have to agree - having put so much incredible effort into the lovely sharp detail and character of the headgear, faces, clothing and webbing, to then be satisfied with such vestigial hands is... just strange.

I know you are completely dedicated to absolute accuracy and the highest possible production standard in your kits. Aspects of your crew figures have long been my only criticism of your otherwise universally excellent output.
With such a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, you CANNOT possibly be satisfied with those hands.
There has to be a better way to deliver the Rubicon quality we have come to expect and value.

Brilliant. Well done  8)

All very nice and useful  :)
Although I’m slightly nonplussed as to the presence of a suitcase and a tin bath in an assemblage of market produce...
Presumably, the idea of these plus the handcart is perhaps to enable diorama modellers to portray refugees?
