Title: LRDG 30cwt Chevrolet truck

There are many, many contemporary photographs of the LRDG chevrolets, and the Imperial War Museum appear to have one of the vehicles in their collection... I’m sure there are other surviving / restored examples. I guess it’s not possible to get the actual blueprints for the original 1940s vehicles to work from. What kind of reference / source material do you use for your other projects if it’s not photographs and surviving examples?

Some sites also list reference sources and books that would be of interest to those wanting to expand their knowledge of the various LRDG squadrons

The bibliography in Osprey's Warrior 148: Long Range Desert Patrolman is also a good start.

Though there is not a lot of big hardware there (not like Duxford or Bovington) there was a lot and I just did not photograph it (the IWM is where the three Jerry cans photograph came from).

At Bovington I did not photograph the KV-1...
