The Morris Commercial C8 FAT (Field Artillery Tractor), commonly known as a Quad, is an artillery tractor used by the British and Commonwealth forces during the WW2. It was used to tow field artillery pieces, such as the 25-pounder gun-howitzer, and anti-tank guns, such as the 17-pounder. Although its sloped sides suggest otherwise, the Quad was not armoured.
The first Morris C8 Quad was delivered in October 1939 and it then stayed in production until 1945, a total of 10,000 were built. At the end of WW2, the Quad stayed in British service in the same roles. It saw extensive action in the Korean War and Malaya.
Our kit will cover two variants - the Mark II (~4,000 made in 1940 and early 1941) and the Mark III (~6,000 made from 1941 to 1945).

And the 25 pounder?

And the 25 pounder?
Let's not discuss this and put our focus on the Morris C8. After all, this is our New Project of the Month. ;)

Very nice . Hopefully a seated crew , like your 251 Gerry set , for this some time in the future

Nice one! Looks like an interesting little kit.

Very nice! Looking forward to this Early War kit!

Of course it means the forth coming development of towed field artillery pieces, such as the 25-pounder gun-howitzer and anti-tank guns like the 17-pounder. Surely not this quarter or perhaps even the next.
Also needed would be the 6-pounder aka 57mm anti-tank gun.
And since I'm off on this tangent might as well mention the Russian 76.2mm anti-tank gun and howitzer.

Despite our China factory being closed during the coronavirus outbreak, our HK studio continues to work on all ongoing projects.
Here are our 3D prototypes for the Morris C8 Quad Mk II and Mk III tractor... Note the differences between the two variants.

It had been 3 months without an update on this project. We finally got our first plastic test shot on the Morris C8 "Quad" tractor...
It comes on a single sprue but TWO multi-slide mould chassis to easy assembly. We will post more pictures on the assembled kit after we go through test-assembly and QC report, stay tuned!
