Rubicon Models 2nd Anniversary...
« on: October 04, 2016, 08:12:26 pm »
Even though Rubicon Models was formed and registered in July 2014, the October 23 date marked the release of our first 7 kits. With 28 plastic kits now under our belt, we are getting stronger and better!

When you compare the difference in detail in your Panzer III and IV to your Crusader , Stug or Tiger kits , its hard to believe its only been two years , the improvements in design and detail have been fantastic . Many model companies that have been around 10 times as long haven't made the attempt to perfect their product  , you have , and I just want to say thank you .

Congratulaions, Rubicon.  As Ripley said, you've come a long way in a short time.  And thanks for continuing to listen to feedback as you go.

Yes, interesting.  I'm assuming this will be the kit as previewed, with 2 76mm turrets and the 'front detailed' tracks.  I'll get several of these - I really like this model of Sherman.  But I still think something closer to the original M4A3 kit would have been even better.

The mystery is solved!

Our plan is to include the M4A3E8 with our new M4A3 box - same retail price but with 4 plastic sprues!
No 75/105 mm turret, but with three roadwheel sets, early and late T23 turret... more info later!

For further discussions, we will move back to our M4 Sherman Digital Library post...

Would the 75mm barrel fit the t23 turret? Thinking about future options and the jumbo

All current and future releases of anything M4 Sherman, most parts are interchangeable for you to be able to customise your tank!  ;)

Wow - it includes the "Easy Eight" version.  That's very cool.

I tried to convert a normal 76mm turret into a Jumbo turret (in 1/35 scale), and it's a lot of work.  The whole thing is noticably bulkier.  Maybe Rubicon could release add-ons like a Jumbo upgrade set in resin.
