Only one point - you really don't need to include MG34s in these late war SPWs.  The MG42 was standard by the time this (and the SdKfz 251 Ausf D) entered service.

All MGs on the sprue are MG42 except for the optional MG34 for the gunner.  This
is because we have included two figures (besides the original driver) with this new
kit.  The gunner when not in use, can be placed on the SdKfz 250/1 Alte with the
MG34 instead.

More flexibility for the modellers ;)

The long awaited SdKfz 250/1 Neu test sprues finally arrived at our studio!
The SdKfz 250/251 base kits will soon be completed with this final release.
Will test fit and paint it up for review soon...

Enjoy!

there are several options available with this kit, including fitting the frame antenna to the SdKfz 253.

That's true, had overlook that in the description.

It's a shame you didn't include parts for the late version of the SdKfz 251 Ausf D, which had a 'star' antenna (but not the extendable mast included in your kit).

We have included parts in the sprue but not build an Ausf D version as a painted sample due to limited test sprues available.

The frame antenna was rare on the Ausf D (in fact I don't think the Ausf D was built in the factory with a frame antenna).

That's very true! ;)

Box art colour proof just got approved for printing... We are using generic numbers, so hopefully no IP issues!

Enjoy!

RE: Blister Packs

Since we do not have the intention to produce infantry box sets yet, we will only
focus on blister packs.  Blister packs have standard size because of store wall
mountings - this applies to ALL miniature manufacturers who produce blister
packs.  We can only put so much plastic figures in a pack.  A good commercial
example will be those from Games Workshop nowadays!

At present, we'd just queue up the jeep and the bike for mould making. Right
now is peak season for us - OEM projects for Christmas releases.  Doubt we
can get any of these done right away!  Plus the figures are still in QC for final
approval.

Don't want to disappoint anybody...  :(

My only comment on providing separate crew is that it seems to be a lot of additional blisters for a single (quite small) kit.  Is that really practical?  Is it really necessary to do so many different crew?

This is more of a marketing issue; actually is also cheaper to package as well.
We are still working on the details on how this can be carried out, so is sort
of preliminary...

While I think Rubicon are edging towards the scale model side of things (with increasing numbers of small parts), I think they're still primarily wargaming models.  In any event, I'd rather not see photo etch invade this scale.  It's not fun to work with.  Resin is okay, I guess.

Our goal is still to make the best wargaming models in any scale!  The smaller parts
is because we are working on more smaller vehicles, which is inevitable.  However,
we are also working hard to expand into the military modelling market aimed for the
beginners and the aged veterans for something detailed but quick-built.

This is the proposed sprue layout for the BMW R75 with sidecar.  Similar to the
multi-variant Willys MB Jeep, we are putting the crew asides into blister packs.
This layout is NOT final, will put some extra goodies into it!

The driver and crew will be available on blisters of your choices - Blitzkrieg for
early war, DAK for the African campaign, and mid & late war in Kradmantel...

Would the different crew figs be in different blisters - if you only wanted Brits & Commonwealth/GIs/Russians?

Each blister pack will contain driver & crew for one nation / war theatre only.
Probably 3 to 4 figures per blister.

Proposed sprue layout for our Willys MB jeep. Instead of doing two versions, we have
decided to put all variants into a SINGLE sprue - US / Airborne / SAS / LRDG!!

The driver and crew will be available on blisters of your choices...

Thanks for all the comments.  While building the M4 Digital Library at the studio,
we had several discussions on what we can do with "components" that could
not made it to our plastic sprues.  We are seriously looking into releasing a new
range of resin (and may be photo-etched)  products to compliment our plastic
range.  Not right away, but next year!

With the Willys MB almost completed and ready for mould making, we are
looking into doing another truck as a side project to go along with the main
ones.  Still have not decided on which one to do - many we don't have any
reference material...

Being a side project, it will take much longer time to complete, and even
longer to get it to mould making.  Top on the list (with no specific order)
include:

1) Kubelwagen Type 82
2) Schwimmwagen Type 166
3) 6x4 Krupp Protze (Kfz 69/70)
4) Horch Type 1a
5) Steyr Type 100A/01
6) M3 White Scout Car
7) 4x4 Ford GPA
8 ) GMC DUKW
9) 4x4 Dodge WC51
10) 6x6 Dodge  WC62
11) 4x2 Morris 15CWT
12) 4x2 Austin Tilly
13) 1.5t GAZ-AA/GAZ-AAA

Please feel free to comment...
