Any update on possible release date for the JP?
I see that Q4 has been announced, so maybe drop the JP into the Q1/18 release.

It is still in the mould making queue.  Don't think it will make it to Q1/18 releases...  :(

General Discussions / Moulds in the Making... 171207
« on: December 07, 2017, 02:03:21 PM »
For those who might want to have a glimpse of how our plastic sprues are made, here are some pictures of our moulds in the making!

It takes months to get to this stage... after that, more QC work had to be done to make sure the two parts of the mould are matched seamlessly with all the details matched exactly like the original design.  There are no shortcuts to quality mould making, nothing can be rushed!  Therefore, don't ask why a particular product is not released yet!

Guess what this is?

Quite correct!

Was working on the upcoming M4 Sherman & M4 Composite supporting material, and come up with this... Useful info if you are not aware of what our M4 Sherman Digital Project can do!

Just imagine what M4 Sherman tank variants you can build with several basic M4 kits from us? All interchangeable...

Enjoy!

From feedback, we have revised the Allies sheet with the inclusion of the Guards and added "gun sight calibration markings" to the design.

This is the waterslide decal sheets that you will be getting for our upcoming "M4 Sherman / Firefly IC" plastic kit. You get not one, but TWO decal sheets - one for the American and one for the Allies... talking about value for money (cartoon and graffiti humour included)!

Enjoy!

Crews:
My only concern would be with the crews. Not just for the Flak36/37, but also with the Pak38 and Pak40. If you make them too anatomically correct, they will not blend in well with other 28mm WW2 miniatures (plastic or metal). Also, they will not be popular with gamers. For some reason, gamers hate anatomically correct miniatures. There must be a fine line between anatomically correct and looking "gaming" good.

There are just times that we must make our stance.  In the old days of the garage or home-brew foundries, many figures were sculpted anatomically correct; but the final product (the metal figure) was being distorted due to bad rubber mould castings... they got squeezed and deformed.  Of course, there are many factors that lead to the horrible "gorilla" style (some called them heroic-scale to make themselves feel better) human proportion.  We have seen much better sculpts in 15mm and 20mm, so why cannot 28mm?

Our figures are more or less based on the style of the Perry brothers, only slightly bigger to match the size of other metal figures in the market.  Don't think you will notice a big difference between our figures and from other manufacturers when placed on the gaming table.

If you look at the 28mm market right now, many manufacturers had begun to sculpt anatomically correct figures, both plastic and metal, to reflect a change of style because it is just wrong to sculpt these figures incorrectly!

Also - I don't have my references handy, but I don't think the Free French used this type.  They certainly didn't use the Firefly.

We have two reference books on the Free French.  Both 501 RCC and 12 Cuir had M4 and M4 Composite.

If there are no more comments, will send them off to the printer over the weekend.  There are some minor cosmetic changes, other than that, the layout will remain the same.
