Work In Progress / Re: SdKfz 173 Jagdpanther - 3D Prototype 170918

I volunteer to build an early released kit in order to confirm the immense enjoyment someone would have in building this kit.
I would properly rinse the sprues to remove any hint of mold release residue. I would use my sharpest cutting tools to gently remove the components from the sprues.  I expect no mold lines would need to be scrapped given the quality.  I would use the freshest adhesive.  In following the clearly printed instructions I know complete assembly of the kit would proceed at an appropriate pace.
Multiple light coats of primer. Then diligent application of the right colors for the theater of the war I game and then weathering followed by several coats of matte finish.
IT would be my honor to do this this year.

So...perhaps it should just be sprues of logs and slats.
Some assembly required.

But I don't want to wait...I want a Jagdpanther now.

I want both!
Very iconic field artillery anti-aircraft anti-tank piece.
Limbered and unlimbered?
What about the half track to move it about the battlerfield?
Perfect to oppose Operation Goodwood and tow around desert battlefields to engage British tanks.

Those PSC instructions are for the 1/100 scale vehicles.

The '56 Arab-Israeli, '67 Middle East conflict and Vietnam used many of the same AFVs and soft skin vehicles.

Rubicon look determined to go down this road. Attempts to nudge them to concentrate on the vehicles are unlikely to succeed.

Don't think we can last too long if we are to focus just on 1/56 scale plastic vehicles.  As a company, we do need to diversify and to embrace a broader range of products.  This year being "Year of the Allies" for our 1/56 plastic vehicles, the other undisclosed (until now) company goal is to establish a foothold in other new ranges within 2017.

Cold war and Middle East conflicts offer opportunities for more Armored Fighting Vehicles.  The T-44 was developed near the end of WWII but with a new turret and 100mm gun became the T-54/55.  Korea, the Middle East and Vietnam saw vehicles that were part of WWII such as the T-34/85, M4A3E8 and others soldiering on in Korea and the Middle East.
So existing kits could be re-purposed/updated but new vehicles would be required.

Ooooo.. will there be a redeploying version too?

This is a heavy crew served weapon.
Component Part   Weight (in pounds)
Receiver group:   60
Barrel:   Approximately 24
M3 tripod mount:   44
Total weight:   Approximately 128

The gun with barrel is 84 pounds.  Removing the barrel and reinstalling it after movement would require using the head space and timing gauge to ensure the gun would operate correctly after movement.

I want 5 kits.
They look to be fun to build.

I love this AFV.
Many photos show one tow cable already hooked up to the towing eye.
I look forward to this kit.
It would make a great holiday gift.

Funny thing is I can also see how it could appear to be a Tiger II as I continue to squint at it.
Still, I strongly believe it's a Jagdpanther.

Will the PaK 36 have the Russian style spoke wheels and Soviet crew option?
