Jagdpanther.
I want it!
It would make a great Christmas gift.
I have to have 2.
They always work in pairs.

I agree, Jagdpanther. It helps if you stand on your head!

Not saying what I saw.

Little more to see today ( or maybe I'm not hung over  ::) ) . Looks like a sharp nose to the hull ( Panther / Tiger 2 ) , the turret shape is still ??? but it looks like a round gun mantlet ( Henschel turret  ? ) Hmm

The shape is distinctly Tiger 2-like.

Could be right Pinky. It would help to explain the curve on the top left of the image. Even more so if the turret is rotated a little.

Well that is the first time I have resolved anything useful out of the image.

So I can now see a fighting vehicle.

The gun looks too low for a turreted vehicle (assuming the shape on the left is hull and not attached to the turret).

The Tiger II barrel could depress to -7.4 degrees and probably a lot lower with damage to the gun mount due to explosion or fire

I might have lost my mind but I'm considering the possibility of a T54.

My money goes on... Jagdpanther - it may be pure bullish ignorance on my part but there appear to be several things that hint very heavily at it (to me at least).

 1) It does appear to be a fixed casemate vehicle - the upper glacis seems to go all the way up the front face & seems a little broad for a turreted vehicle - there's also an artifact that looks like it might be the hull ball mount mg about 2/3rds of the way up.

2) The mantlet appears to be the flat sided pyramidal shape found on the Jagdpanther, (ok - also the first 50 Tiger II's as well, but I've discounted that for the previously stated reason) not the conical mantlet of the majority of the Tiger II production run.

3) The image hints at the rectangular mantlet surround found on the Jagdpanther.

4) The angle of the upper & lower glacis say German (to me at least) - a fairly pronounced point absent in allied vehicles. The implied track sag would also looks fit a German subject (though of course couldn't discount a Soviet vehicle on it's own).

Ok, now i'll just wait (with coat in hand - just in case of a facepalm moment :P) till they put us out of our misery.

It is the mantlet end I thought was low.

Initially I did not see what I now interpret as a muzzle brake - the whole picture does not quite fit on my screen.

I see what Ballardian means about the structure on the vehicles right face.

I can see how it might be a Jagdpanther.  That would be very cool - and the fact that Rubicon are tarting up their Panther tracks supports the possibility of a Panther variant.  It would be very cool if they could squeeze in a Bergpanther as well...

Funny thing is I can also see how it could appear to be a Tiger II as I continue to squint at it.
Still, I strongly believe it's a Jagdpanther.

Great news!  I'm sure it will be awesome.  Any chance of squeezing a Bergpanther in as well?

Very nice . I think a JP or 2 would fit well with the rest of my armor . And a BP would be awesome , but a whole new lower hull might  have to molded . Rubicons lower hulls are boxed in , not full to the floor  so it would to hard to add full crew seats , transmission and radio etc , that is so visible when the drivers roof is removed . Maybe they might redesign the hull for the JP kit and a  BP would possible . If not ,maybe make it a add on kit with new upper hull and a forced perspective insert of a driver figure and transmission , the winch box ( rear spade ! ) , and various tools etc , sort of like the add on kits for the 250 /251 half tracks . They show us something new and we always want more  :-[

Pretty sure heer46 does a conversion kit

The Heer46 conversion kit is good & fits perfectly on the Rubicon model - it's down to whether the level of detail provided is enough (it's a little light if you're going to be purist about it & the 20mm barrel is huge, better to replace it with some brass rod) - & whether you like resin/metal add-ons.

Spade looks good , so does the crane parts and the winch box from what I can see on their web site . Can't really see the winch that well which IMO is a real focal point , for me at least on this vehicle ., And they don't supply any driver compartment internals  if you remove the driver's roof , which you need to do if you use the 20mm ( only one vehicle mounted this IRC ) . A nice effort , but a couple of things  lacking IMO . What with the price of a kit for the hull plus the  $36.00 for this resin kit ,  plus the extra bits you'll have to scratch / find , I'll pass on this one

Rubicon are just going to provide all the different Jagdpanther variants, so no Bergepanther.

I did too - but my dreams were dashed.  It would have been an awesome kit...
