Nice job, the fading on the camo scheme is very effective.

Here's an interesting question - you've painted the lamp on the IR gear red, I've done so myself on previous vehicles & box artwork commonly depicts the lamps as having red filters (such as Battlefronts FOW Panther platoon box) - & yet here's an actual refurbished Sperber FG 1250 (Sparrow Hawk) with a blue lamp - can anyone shed some light (excuse the pun) on this?

(I know that there were a couple of attempts to get a workable IR system onto the Panther - some with binocular viewfinders & additional lamps/viewers for the gunners sight, but available info seems a bit sketchy.)

Yes Panthers were equipped with IR....Some faked photos out there though....not 100% sure on configuration of or specific devices fitted (there were several)...
Fought in the West and Hungary....also this model is Dustified....alternate history...

Google Falke and UHU Sdkfz 251  as well.

IR on Panther are also covered in Jentz books and master modelers books(Japanese).

Red tint for lenses not sure....but always seen them depicted that way ?

My comments were certainly not intended as a criticism of your excellent paintjob or choice of colour for the IR lamp, merely curiosity on my part,  Culvert & Feist's 'Panther In Detail' (Ryton Publications) provides such detail as exists of the operational use of IR gear - but of course never actually mentioned the colour of the UHU component - I'd assumed it was red & when I came across the photo I included it provoked consternation - have I been painting them wrong all this time? ???

Yeah don't know honestly....I do know that museums constantly have lots of things the wrong color or substitute components ?
Would be good to know ?
But as usual ....enjoy the hobby....

Most vehicles also end up in museums with their post-war adjustments. The G13 from Switserland is such an example. You have to strip it down to a regular Hetzer again.

G13s are like Grizzlies, available and look like real vehicles that fought in WW2. Like Grizzlies, many in museums have been cosmetically altered to look like combatants.

There was a discussion on Armorama  about IR gear . Guys that have used it on M 48 / M 60s and have seen captures Soviet vehicles , say the glass looks black from a distance  , but if you put your eye right up to it , it is a very, very dark red .

Brilliant modelling and great paint jobs, is the Dino`s one of the "Ausi" figure range? either way you`ve "nailed em" both.
