Work In Progress M4A3.

This has been on hold for quite a while, mainly because I have no idea what to do with it. If I had done my research I would have used the 75mm turret with the 76mm gun as an M4A3E4 (with or without the Company B decals).

Work In Progress Panzer III with help from the German Stowage set.

The brown box fouls the turret slightly, an HO scale item.

Two jerry cans are behind the rail and the large crate sits on the rear deck, both secured with microstrip straps. There is a bucket hanging off the back as well. There is spare track on the roof and between the machine gun and the driver's hatch. Brackets secure them in place (I added the bracket to the short piece after the photograph was taken).

I have added additional soft stowage from greenstuff and a covered crate (two of the HO boxes covered with greenstuff).  There is still more to add.

That is really useful to know and a refreshing change from other manufacturers.

I know Rubicon does not have to worry about forthcoming plastic kits cannibalising sales of existing models, but your open and responsive attitude to development is really good.

Now when do we get our Churchill's ^____^?

I bought two of these at Warfare, an assortment of very useful pieces.

While assembling one of your Panzer III kits for use by DAK I came across something that might be included in a subsequent set, water bottles. On page 19 of the Osprey book there is a photo of a Panzer III with a large number of water bottles hanging on the turret stowage box. I used a couple of Wargames Factory water bottles because that was all I had to hand, I will see if I can borrow some from the BA sprues as well.

Since the photograph was taken I have added some additional stowage, though one small box (an HO scale item)  fouls the turret. The additional stowage includes hiding what is supporting the bucket.

Small ammo boxes and similar would be useful, the limited clearances on this tank limits what you can add (I assembled an oil drum but there was no where to put it, the only space was too close to the exhaust).

Additional (or replacement) tools would be nice.

Now to add some of these to the Crusader.

'M4A3E8' is the designation of the M4A3 with HVSS.  This version had the late 76mm turret.  I think it would be a nice kit.  Not many options though, and Rubicon likes to provide plenty of options.

See above ^____^.

I was probably thinking of the E2, they apparently also had HVSS but late to post war: edit: or not, check link in detail.

Edit: Pinky is correct, (see below), some E2 hulls were used with HVSS but as prototype flame throwers.

How about an upgrade kit when it's ready? 76 Turrets only? Maybe 2 per box?

Or an M4A3 with HVSS and both turrets styles complete with all bits - similar to the T34/85 with spare T34/76 turret. I would assume the existing moulds would be replaced with one of the new turrets when economical.

I am not sufficiently knowledgeable about M4s to know if an M4A3E8 option would be compatible with an HVSS M4A3.

The Honey is a bit meh for me.

Osprey have a New Vanguard next year for the Valentine,  you would think their partner company might have a matching kit out at the same time. Also BA has a desert war supplement next year.

Does the Prague set mean there is a shield for the Mg armed version liberated from the factory?
We don't just cater our kits for gamers, the Czech Prague decal set is to give kit bashing modelers an option for their creation since there are not much 3rd party decals in this scale.
;)
For which we are grateful.

The above must be a memorial paint job.

One of the modelling magazines recently had an article on building one.
