Would love one of these bad boys in plastic, or just done accurately to be honest!

May be a little bit of a more unusual choice (or not?), but the only one currently available in 1/56 is from Warlord, but the proportions of it are definitely off. Very annoying as it's one of my favourite AFVs. Would be ace to have Rubicon do it properly!

SdKfz 10 is the top of my wish list  8)

Ref the Warlord Marder III, they had the new plastic model on display (couple of painted ones and one unpainted plastic) at their recent weekend / open day thing, so it's coming soon. I did notice that at the back of the pictures was a plastic 38t as well, so it's obviously either a Marder/38t dual kit or two new kits using shared sprues.

A plastic Pz2 would be ace actually. Maybe a combi Marder 2 kit?  :P

A non-zim Konigstiger would be ace. Did wonder if, rather than including two turrets like the Warlord one, if Rubicon were to do it whether it would be feasible to be a dual Jadgtiger kit...? Just a completely off the top of my thought, assuming that the engine decks are the same etc and there was space on the sprues. Just might help set it apart.

Not all of the recent Warlord plastics have actually been Italeri kits. I wonder if this one might have something to do with PSC - as I believe they've gone for the III rather than the Ausf G because it's going to be a dual 38T kit as well.....

Wish Lists / Re: SdKfz 10 Halftrack

Yeah, exactly EWG! And it could be used throughout the whole length of the war really.

Johan beat me to it, AGN make one. I've got their 10/4 and it's not a bad model, I would have liked to get a couple of the standard 10s as tows too but the exchange rate kills that idea now (they're a Canadian company).

Hopefully Rubicon will add to their list!  ;D

Wish Lists / SdKfz 10 Halftrack
« on: October 09, 2017, 06:39:23 pm »

The SdKfz 10 was one of the most widely produced German vehicles of the war (14,000 odd) and formed the base of the 250 halftrack. There is only one manufacturer of a (resin) kit in 1/56, which still surprises me - it has a wide range of uses as a tow throughout the whole of the war and a number of interesting variants that could be modelled. Including of course the 10/4 and 5 AA which are likely to be of particular interest from a wargaming perspective.

I'd certainly pick up more than a few of them, for a number of different uses, and it seems like a particular gap in the market which Rubicon could fill - would go nicely with the range of AT and AA guns in progress too.

A BT tank kit would be an excellent companion to the T-26, probably has a wider time period it would be useful for too.

Nothing on this project for a while.... any news on when we might see it? Really want a few of these! :)

Mould done, now awaiting testshot #1 to send over to the studio for test fitting and assembly.

Awesome  :) Q1 2018 release then?

More half tracks are always good!

Personally rooting for a SdKfz 10 first, as (weirdly imo) its almost impossible to find in 1/56 and it was one of the most widely produced and used of the half tracks.

But really it would be having the variants like the 10/4 and the 7/1 or 2 in plastic that would be awesome :)
