I would love to see this as a plastic kit. Used by US, Commonwealth and RKKA forces, and in large numbers. And a useful bit of kit on the wargames table...

Thanks... thats useful info. So a limitation of the mould making, rather than a track style I didn't know about? :-\ I will probably just treat them as all steel and weather more heavily than I usually do.

And good catch on the M10 - thanks. Think I will shave off the grousers that are on the racks, as I am building a late-war SA 6th Armoured Div Achilles from the kit and most of the photos show them with steel tracks, and racks used to stow other clutter...

Hiya

Struggling to figure out which tracks are represented in the Rubicon M4 Sherman kit (and the M10 kit)? Rubber or steel? They seem to have a "solid" chevron tread, for which I can't find any reference pix? The tread chevron shape looks summink like the steel T54 but with the "negative" space of the chevron filled in?

Any ideas?

TIA

Thanks for the feedback.  :)

Durability aside, I like to base my vehicles to match the height of the bases on my figures. For my 28mm figures I use "GW-style" 25mm plinth bases, which are about 3mm high. So I use 3mm MDF as a base for my vehicles...

Golf Alpha Zulu checking in from Cape Town, South Africa...

We have a small but active historical gaming club here playing a bit of everything and anything, but the club is currently binging on 28mm WW2 games... hence my interest in Rubicon kits....

See you in the discussion threads...

Rubicon Crusader with crew from Die Waffenkamer (Mk III) and Perry Miniatures (Mk II). Loved building the Crusader kit - goes together very well. Haven't built many others from the Rubicon range (M10, M4) but it was even better than the others, both in design and detail, I found.
