As a Hetzer kit it's a disappointment as we already have a fantastic plastic kit available . But for the purposes of kit bashing and conversions , I'm thinking this is a winner ( Italeri plastic is much easier to slice & dice ) , you get an open top Berge hull and a 20mm AA gun , with what looks like 4 magazines . The sprue layout on the Italeri site dosn't seem to include much internal pieces , oh well , I've got a few videos saved of Hetzer internals , and  I can fudge the Berge stuff . Anyone find any larger views of the sprues so more details can be seen ?

Looks good , I'll have to try sculpting hands . I usually cut , bend and sand BA plastic  hands into the shapes needed . Usually have to do about 4 to get one that I don't loose to the carpet monster  ::)

Nice surgical work there .  Could you possibly use half hands , like his fingers are up under his helmet , palms pressed against his ears ?What you would see is minimal , might be easier than sculpting .

With each new release , Rubicon's vehicles improve , so I think the same thing will happen with their figures . It just might take a little longer that's all .  I've seen resin figures of various tall / short / thin / fat guys , with the picture they used for inspiration . And still some of the figures looked " funny " although they matched the people in the picture perfectly . Maybe we're just  used to the  stocky heroic type of guys that the  real to- scale guys look odd ?

New heads make the PSC guys look so much better . And once you figure out how to do it by sacrificing a couple of figures , these body part swaps get easier

Good to know . The sight position  on the 251/9 guns  are rather vague as well . Its not impossible to put together , just lots of fiddling around .  It would be easier if Rubicon gave you a close up view of placement in the plans , or actually had a pin on one  piece to fit in a hole on the other . How are the crew figures ?

Wow !

That turned out pretty good . Are you going to try ( risk ) the other guy as well ?

I sorta glad they're taking their time . I haven't built the stuff they released last 1/4 yet  ;D

That sounds like you've made some progress at least . Funny how you go great guns and finish one  kit in mere days and the next one seems to drag on for weeks and sometimes months . I've got some 1/35 Dragon rail cars I started about 10 years ago I still have to complete  :-[

Upon further research ( I always seem to rush in and start glueing stuff when I get an idea  ::) ), it seems that there is a large radiator over the left side of the engine . In most pictures , its usually removed so the engine can be worked on . So , I don't need the engine in there , just the rad . That's easier
So ,I just cut down an Academy M 113 rad , added a few pipes and its almost done . Just have to carefully sand the resin door I made ( hull pressed into plastersine ) thinner so I can open up the cooling slats

Its looking good guys . Like the added stowage , not that I don't have enough of my own  , but more is MORE !  ;D The only things that jump out at me , and to be fair , lots of companies get it wrong ( or totally miss it ) , and   its stuff that's easy for a modeller to fix so , to me its not a deal breaker .as mentioned  the 3 bolts on the loaders side and the gunner's side should be a solid flap , no vision slit ( Pzr III was the same ) . From what I can find  only early A' s had vision slit on both sides ( pre production ) . Like the choice of wheel hubs as there are pictures of tanks with both , nice option

Squadron/Signal Panzer IV shows 3 bolts  in triangle pattern above the gunners solid side visor , and 4 on the loaders slit visor , 2 above , 2 below . It's shown like that on all turrets with side visors A - G  . Can't find any pictures with 3 on the loaders side in any of my books

Picked up my 251 D today ( for my 251/9 kit bash ) , and as I had time to kill while the base coat on its drying .... I thought I might try something like this

Will have to remove the driver and add gun parts to the turret interior , but I should end up with a broken down / knocked out Panzer IV
I picked the left side hatch because the right hatch has the fans mounted to it and I have no bits in the parts box that look like it  and I have  no idea how to scratch it  ::)

Some guys sitting in the turret doors would be great , can always use more crew figures  ;D .
