Do we know the RRP for them? Guessing Sherman’s are £20? Are the bases available via local stockists like decals?

Worse case, just use it as a 222 or 6rad.

Nothing in the rules or vehicle entry that says it must have wheels...

Will you be doing E9 tracks in either resin or plastic?

1 rivet. 2 rivets. 3 rivets....

It is a frame by itself. I queried it and was told that they’re not in a position to do it yet though.

I have lots of HVSS, but will need them for many many more Sherman’s.

There’s a guy at my club who gets me to build bits for him sometimes as he’s partially sited (registered blind).

Every time he gives me an artillery piece my heart sinks. Reminds me of my GW days and having to make old one eye for kids >_<

He wants the new Rubicon plastic ones, so I won’t mind that ;)

Making a warlord metal artillery piece is just as interesting.

Interesting move.

From what I can see, heer46 is the customer and Rubicon is the company contracted  to create the model for them and making the master model. This seems to be separate from any of their own kits.

Rubicon are a design company afterall ;) I think that’s why they push the boundaries of model making so much as their 1/56 plastic range essentially becomes their portfolio.

Probably just empty. It saves on mould costs.

I guess it could be done by extending the fenders. I think it’s on their radar, but not high priority.

I’d much rather have an M32 though.

DD tanks has a completely different lower hull which also affects the mid/top of the hill too. As well as the screen.

I think that’s more of a new kit than an expansion.

If it means I could potentially get an M32 expansion for my shermans I’ll be more than happy.

Personally, I have nothing against paper (or mild steel) panzers but I think it’s that which has caused the debate, and not the process.

You can argue all day whether imor not it was made/saw service or if the kit is worthwhile from a commercial standpoint.

But what none of us can deny is that this things looks pretty damn cool.

And as UVS pointed out and Rubicon’s explanation of wanting to package expansions for multiple variants, it looks like this might not be the main reason behind the kit.

I just don’t get the hatred for this on here and the Facebook pages.

While thinking about another M3 derived vehicle,  I was reminded of the Canadian Grizzly. Similar to a US built M4A1, there are a few differences.
http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/manufacturer/m4a1mlw/grizzly.html

Not sure if they could be added to the M4A1 kit.

Need to Re -edit this: [ur]http://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/grizzling-m4a5-grizzly.html[/url], the M4A5 is the Ram II.

I have photographs of the example at Southsea somewhere.

Lots of differences between the A1 and the ram I’m afraid. I’d be surprised if they could do it in one kit.

Different hull, tracks, headlights, turret, front sprocket.
