General Discussions / New Releases 2021 Wave 1 All Packed to Go 210707

Under the shadow of COVID-19, manufacturing and shipping of goods had been a problematic issue for small businesses like ours.  We had been working diligently to get our ongoing projects completed for releases.

As you all recalled, spearhead shipment for our last release was eight kits (2020 Wave 2) right after Christmas last year followed by a general release in February due to issues with shipping.

Despite all these problems, we have finally organised a production run for ELVEN new plastic kits (2021 Wave 1) just as we speak, and hopefully, the spearhead shipment will be available via our dealer channels and on our webstores.  The normal availability will be in late July.

In the meantime, please support us by buying more kits for your collection!  Enjoy your hobby and stay safe.

Another top contender on our Project Wish List... the M24 Chaffee!

The M24 Chaffee was used towards the end of WW2, and later in the Korean War.  It was also used by the French in the War in Algeria and the First Indochina War (Vietnam).  Some former and US Chaffees are known to have passed down to the Army of South Vietnam (ARVN) where they saw service at least until the Battle of Hue, with several as fixed gun emplacements outside vital military installations, such as airbases.  M24 were also used in the British service where it got its service name, Chaffee.

New Project for the Month of June - Renault FT Light Tank

The Renault FT Light Tank is one of the topmost requested vehicles we have on our project Wist List, and it is now a reality!

Early gamers and modellers rejoice!  Key features include a choice of drive wheels and sprockets, cast or riveted turrets, multiple gun choices, and optional interior details for the driver and engine compartment!

We are also working diligently to include both the FT and M1917 builts, but due to an excessive amount of minor detail differences, we will have to wait and see...

NOTE: These are still preliminary drawings subject to change as the project making progress.

What a pleasant surprise to see this arrived at our studio yesterday - the first plastic testshot of the German Stowage Set #2. 

Still have some minor issues and mould lines that are easy to fix.  Quite happy with the outcome, will post assembled version later!

Many people had raised lots of questions about our new 'Nam range.  We are now giving you an overview of the current state of this project.

One of our objectives is to have vehicles that were still useful after Vietnam War in plastic, and those more or less became obsolete will be in resin.  All basic figure sets will be in plastic while selected weapon teams will be in pewter or resin.  Some vehicles are not shown because the project had not started.

Work In Progress / NEW PROJECT - T-55 & T-55A (early production) Drawings 210422

Even though we had finished the T-54 MBT project late last year, it was put on hold for mould making.  This is because we need to finish its successor, the T-55, drawings so that common parts on both projects can share a single sprue to save cost.  After a long wait, we are presenting you with the initial T-55 MBT drawings...

Work In Progress / Re: T17E1 Staghound - Mk II added 210417

The final missing piece of our Staghound project is here... the T17E1 Mk II. 

The Mk II was a field conversion that had a 3-inch howitzer Mk 1 for close support mounted in place of the 37mm gun in the turret.  The bow machine gun was removed.  These were issued to the Armoured Car HQ section.

We are revisiting the long-lost British Staghound project.  The project had not been forgotten, just stowed away for the right moment to relaunch... and NOW is the time!

The Staghound project has been revived, redesigned, and upgraded to a full PLASTIC kit... a 4-in-1 kit to cover the T17E1 Mk I (with or without Tulip), the T17E1 Mk III and the T17E2 AA.

3D prototypes will follow soon... then mould making!
