These could be very useful. Especially if they came with ammo boxes and other accessories.  Although frankly you'd need to produce figures that matched Warlord's quite closely.

Btw - both tripod mounts were spelt "Lafette" .

Definitely getting there.

The ammunition belt still needs a bit of work,my guess is that the belt should lie in the box as rows, hinging on the last and first links in the rows.ifvthat is the case, you can provide a positive gluing point by having the belt  lifting from the box part way along the row.

The Osprey book does not have a definitive photograph or painting. I am sure some else can find some suitable photographs.

Question on basing, more for the visitors here than Rubicon, what format bases do you use?

For me, I would use the flat circular Renedra style circular bases rather than the Warlord lipped flat bases or square bases.

I use circular ones.

Used to be Flat for plastics and lipped for metals (to hide the mound), but now that warlord include bases with every kit I just use lipped as I'm lazy and cheap.

I use the flat round BA bases for single troops , and make my own from plastic sheet , cut to what ever shape / size needed  for multi crewed weapons - machine guns , bazookas and Artillery .  After 40 odd years of kit building , I've just started to base my figures with ground cover  ::) , so my mg crews have fences or rubble to hide behind, almost mini dioramas  in effect. My single troops just have grasses and gravel on their bases .
