Windscreens and windows

With the increasing number of Rubicon models of softskin vehicles, is there an opportunity to develop a method of supplying the windows, initially as an add on, later as part of the kit.

Conventional moulded windows are excessively thick and have strange edge effects, hand cut windows exceed the skills of some modellers (like me).

I wondered if there was a potential technology that could manufacture reasonably priced windscreens and windows?

Roco Minitanks used to produce sets of windows for their vehicles.  They were nicely done, and fit very well.  Maybe when Rubicon has a stable of soft-skins it will be worth doing something similar.
