Comparison shot of the Marder III and the Rubicon Jagdpanzer 38(t).

I sprayed the breech assembly before adding the shields.

Note, add the nose to the hull tub before adding the tracks.

I have to decide what theatre and hence a colour scheme, and add some stowage.

A clearer shot of the roof (and the bulge for the electric traverse mechanism).

Good point, they look like tank sitters rather than riders.

I agree it is not needed.

It would be an issue if you built the neu before the alte.

They’re repurposed. Not direct copies, but the 3d renders will be the same.
There are a lot more details (and parts), though no one noticed that the hull nose will not fit between the track units if they are glued to the hull tub beforehand. I have scarfed some of the rivet detail on the back of the sprocket covers. It needs to be fitted before the track units.

The superstructure sides (below the 139 sides)  are incredibly thick. They are hidden so it is not an issue.

[Edit: damn you autocorrect!]

The instructions say that part 22 is only for the alte version.  The neu version didn't have the pedestal - the 20mm was attached to the (redesigned) turret.
Step 5 is for the neu, and seems to use the part E22 (without the step 2a holes).

I would just put a black painted rectangle of plastic card in the bottom of the hull. You probably cannot see past the turret gubbins. Unless you are Ripley and have opened the back door ^__^.

Well the mould makers know what it is.

I cannot comment on the accuracy of the uniforms, but the one channeling Cher looks a bit silly. Thankfully he is in uniform.

There are probably photographs of someone doing that (not Cher) but you will not want a whole unit sitting on the guns of your zug.

I've seen the sprues, it does look a lot like the PSC kit but definitely only has the parts for the 139.

I have no complaint about metal items as long as they are both well sculpted and robust and free of drastic mould lines.

I am happy to mix metal and resin, but not metal and plastic as I feel that it makes the model unbalanced.

I have not added large resin pieces to plastic models yet, and of course it depends on the material.

I have used Forgeworld resin bodies, such as this snot Womble on plastic Womble legs.

My concern echoes Ripley's on the assembled versions.

The Minutia site mentions non Quick Fix vehicles being moved from Italy to Southern France to support the Invasion there (Lima M4A1 article).

Appliqué armour was a feature of later Sherman IIIs.  Maybe Rubicon were looking at earlier types in use in the Mediterranean, before appliqué armour was introduced..  I'm not sure about the comment about "large hatch" M4s; aside from 105mm variants, late M4s were the composite or "hybrid" version, which did have appliqué armour.
Maybe they mean large hatch M4A2s rather than later small hatch M4A2s.

A quick look through three books (Comrade Emcha, British Tanks in Normandy and the Dennis Oliver Sherman Tanks) shows most small hatch/75mm Sherman III tanks have obvious appliqué and Comrade Emcha shows large hatch/76mm without obvious appliqué.

On the track links, I remember reading that two three link racks were part of the set up for D-Day tanks, again I will need to find the reference.

A three link rack in the next stowage set would be nice. I covered the mess I made with other stowage.
