General Discussions / Re: NEW plastic US Infantry by Perry Miniatures

Enough Garands for a whole squad, like Warlord messed up on their plastic US infantry.

I’ll be picking up a few boxes of these I think.

Everyone except the Germans also needs an anti-tank gun (it would be good if Rubicon started focusing on non-German artillery pieces).

I second this!
Third!

Part of me wants them to finish them off (howitzers) before moving on, but a bigger part of me wants US 105mm howitzer, long Tom and 90mm AA gun with associated M4/M5 high speed tractors in plastic..

UK I usually have to do around £3-5 depending on how many boxes. The Rubicon boxes are awkwardly sized for UK post.

I feel for you, for me to post stock from the UK to Thailand I’m looking at a minimum of £18.25.

I managed to get one thankfully!

Personally I would have said Trenchworx set the bar for quality of resin kits, which I said to you at Salute a couple of years back now.

But now, I can safely say that the Rubicon kits set the standard for resin quality.

I don’t see how it’s a backwards step? If anything it’s progressing and improving on resin?

It’s purely a investment vs return calculation. Will we sell enough of these to justify a plastic mould? No? Let’s do it in resin so people can still get hold it it.

Rubicon resin vs resin you’re used to are two totally different things.

Most people think that Rubicon resins are plastic.

Nice. How about one swimming?

Just take a belt sander to the bottom of it ;)

Interesting choice.

Is it based on a specific breed of horse? I ask mainly because apart from knowing they have  legs in each corner, biting bit at the front, waste comes out at the back, I know very little about them (plus I have never successfully painted one -they keep running away ^__^).

Looks like an early war Mk1 to me. The Mk2 didn’t see action until at least ‘41

Universal carrier rules should be good enough, as they only towed 2pdr and 6pdr or transported heavy mortars.

That was very interesting, thanks. 4000 individual parts per model  :o

One of the many reason that not every vehicle is cost effective to release as a plastic kit.
