Was reading about kit conversions on the GAZ-AA/AAA truck with interest. After our weekly meeting, our studio staff spend a few hours and come up with this... This is based on some renders by MiniArt Models that we had found on the web. It is a simple and straightforward conversion. Will post some more pictures after we paint it up later.

This is probably the last of the German wheeled vehicle we will be doing for a while... need to do some Allies ones!

The VW Type 166 Schwimmwagen is the most mass-produced amphibious car in history. A total of 29,860 units were produced from 1941 through 1944.

Proposed Features:

- Single sprue 1/56 scale plastic kit
- Two headlight options
- Flip-down windshield option
- Flip-down propeller option
- Driver included

With all Q3/18 releases completed, we are already working on our Q4/18 and Q1/19 releases.

Our initial plan was to give you all a truck-load of X'mas items, but freight schedule is very tight and the booking fees are super-expensive! We are now going to split the releases into two lots, a small release before year-end and the remaining items right after the New Year.

You might ask what is coming? Stay tuned to this post for more info...

When there is a good subject that we wanted to produce but not able to the met production volume of a plastic kit (yet), we will release them in resin/pewter as a temporary measure. One of these projects is this British/Commonwealth Loyd Carrier No 2 Mk II small tracked vehicle.
