Title: T17E1 Staghound
Post by: Drkangell on May 03, 2018, 02:23:52 pm
I tried finding anything about this very interesting armored car but found very little that has been requested in the past. It is a solid option for the British during WW2. Would love to see this in at least the MK1 variant!

An interesting vehicle, and the MkIII could reuse the Crusader turret.

There are a lot of British armoured cars that were more generally used and might be more popular.

Agreed.  I'd want a Humber or Daimler armoured car, or Scout Car (either type), before a Staghound.

I second this. I would want a Humber or Daimler armoured car/Scout Car, before a Staghound.

I wonder if Our Gracious Hosts could get a Dingo in a Jeep style package, one sprue and two hull components?

A scale plastic Dingo would be nice . I use my 1/48 Tamiya Dingo to proxy  as the Canadian built Lynx which was really just a larger version of the Dingo with a V8 engine and some minor body panel / stowage changes . It might not be exact in relation to scale but with 28mm figures , stowage and weapons it looks " right ".

Indeed, plastic versions of any of these (Daimler MkI, Humber, AEC & Staghound) would be nice, the Staghound would also have a few interesting options - standard with 37mm, with MkIII Crusader turret (as mentioned by UVS) & an open turret with a pair of .50 cals AA version for starters.

A post war version used AEC turrets (Lebanon).
