Post by: ripley on January 28, 2017, 11:38:35 am
!st up a Rubicon Stug III kit built as a late Strmhaubitze . No muzzle-break , extra skirt armor on the sides , as well as concrete over the driver and right side hull roof  . Still need a few tank riders to be  added to the rear deck

Now a III N with 75mm gun based on the early L hull

And lastly a true N built on a late M hull , so no side hull escape hatches ,or turret vision slits , deep wading exhaust ,scratch built hull side skirts and a one piece commander's hatch .

I really like the Ausf Ns - both of them.  It's easy to see that you've been studying what these tanks actually looked like in the field.

Thks guys .  Yea , 40 years of building tanks and having a deep parts box helps . Variety of parts from Rubicons stowage sets  as well as  1/48 - 1/35 stuff to HO model railroad boxes , you never know what might come in handy  The 2 Ns are twined with a matching paint scheme Tiger , Rubicons as an early in Russia and the BA steel wheel in Normandy .
